I have been saying this for years. There should not be conference affiliated refs. All refs should be in regions and reviewed by an audit firm each week and the best refs in SE get the best assignments and more pay. Meritocracy. Wait until we play FSU this year with $30 million on the line for FSU making the CFP and ACC refs. Hopefully it is not ACC refs. If it is we must be way better to deal with the inherent bias how it is set up. It is not refs fault. If a ref gets their paycheck from a conference and $30 million more to their employer is on the line it will matter. Hell I would be bias too if set up that way.
The answer is no, I don’t “really” care or I would not have “lol” scattered. I just wonder why some people tell you you’re wrong when you’re saying something subjective. “oh no it was like that when Abraham Lincoln was president too”
I asked? So funny that you brought up old times when I just laughed at it with my little Lincoln joke. Proof positive. 92 “my truth” and “your truth” isn’t some fancy aristocratic way of saying “opinion”. Since the word “truth” was used I used it back. Also, I think “you’re” is the word you’re looking for (in your sentence below Pontious, btw do you know what that even is”. What do goofy people think they’re the smartest ones in the room?
If you actually read what I wrote more concisely was just saying i never understood why everyone hated UGA so much. For me it was FSU because they had our number while we ALWAYS beat UGA and now I get it. What’s the issue with this? More knowledgeable? I wasn’t a gator fan until 1995. So either you started earlier or your old as dirt. And yeah; if you were more knowledgeable that me I would be surprised because ive watched you post here for years and yeah, no.
The word 'truth' was used, so you just used it back? In a post where you literally quoted yourself??? (Your own post). ...and yeah, you did ask. Here--let me refresh your memory: "I'm curious why 2 posters would disagree with this post [insert your own quoted post]?" ...as for your cheesy grammar point--do you need me to spell our what I think of grammar posts? Lol! Tip of the day bud: never argue with ratings. They are what they are, and any argument is going to be with yourself. Leave em where they belong--in your own skull.
Such hostility If you only started following the Gators in 95 that fully explains your inability to appreciate the basis of our rivalry with Georgia. I won’t go to any effort to explain further because apparently you would rather argue than listen and learn
Since you started this, I think “you’re “ is the word you’re looking for Hint: make sure your grammar is correct before calling out someone on theirs
I'm like you in this case. I lived in Tally growing up, and didn't become a Gator until 94 when I went to UF. I actually was a nole fan growing up, but that's just because I lived there. Also, 90% of my family are nole fans, so it made everything that much worse. I never understood why some Gator fans hated on the Dwags more than the noles until I got on these boards, because I really didn't know the history of the Gators pre-Spurrier era. The funny thing is, My Dad and Brother went to Georgia Tech. I wanted to go there too, so Georgia Tech is my 2nd favorite college team, albeit way behind the Gators. You would think being a UF and GT fan would really, really, REALLY hate the mutts, but I never did, at least as much as I should have. For the first decade or so of my Gator fandom, we did nothing but smash the stupid mutts from UGA... I kind of felt sorry for them. Nowadays, although I still dislike FSU more than UGA, UGA is kind of catching up. I would imagine that has a lot to do with FSU pretty much sucking for a while, and UGA winning 2 Natty's...
In the 70s and 80s we owned ref$u and couldn’t beat Georgia to save our lives. I drove 4 hours each way from College Station, TX to Lake Charles, LA to watch the Florida-Georgia game on regional telecast. That was the day Lindsey Scott broke our hearts. Never underestimate the history of the War Between The States
