If you only read whining, you see whiners.

I'm reading the whole thread, and I've seen a lot of "UGA was the better team" and "refs didn't call some fouls by Gators". Seems like most posters here have their eyes open equally.

If you wait until it “matters” to complain about corrupt officiating then it’s too late.

When has complaining about officiating ever resulted in anything? Not rhetorical. If it ever has, I'm open to re-evaluating my opinion.

Maybe in the ACC, Florida will have an easier path to the National Title; although, Florida would have to take an annual paycut compared to being in the SEC.

On the other hand, what is the value in Florida collecting a bunch of ACC football titles (as opposed to that elusive SEC football title)? lol.

With all this concern about conference refs being biased, maybe they shouldn't have conference refs, but maybe create a national ref league. They can split the country down the middle for where they would work games. No conferences.

Naaah. I've gone to the other team's message boards after a loss to us and they are bitching about the refs. We all do it.

Usually at ACC title is just an invite to an ass whipping party, but they have pulled a few out

FSU did not have to bitch about that blatant facemask penalty on Anthony Richardson last year on the not so game-winning drive

They need professional power five referees. We shouldn’t share our referees with the Podunk’s.

The really painful part when we always lost to Dooley was we almost always had more talent in that era (except for the Herschel Walker teams)
Pre-Spurrier, against Ga, we either laid an egg and were severely out coached.

UGA obviously made the decision to play the Gator WR's physical, I too noted it the entire game. I don't believe its a inside job in as far as the "no calls" from the refs goes, as I've noted it in the UGA/USC game as well earlier in the season to me for UGA its apparent defensive philosophy. Beyond disrupting routes, timing, as well as keeping the WR's under raps, it forces the QB to hold the ball longer......also noticed during the game UGA almost always had a DB or LB ready to close on any pass where Mertz was forced to check down to a RB.

The game just became more frustrating when as you mentioned, Florida seemed to always be in zone coverage of some sort which subsequently allowed the UGA WR's to be open and run free. The contrast in defensive approach or philosophy in this game was like night and day....compounded by never seeing any apparent change in the Gator defensive mindset during the game? This would be a ideal question I would love to have Napier honestly address, instead of giving some kind of coach speak answer?

I was never a Carson Beck fan, as this is a kid that other then his junior year at Manderian when they won a state title, he struggled to keep his completion average at 50% for the entirety of his high school career, Yet this season as a 1st time starter and the Gator game we made him look like a Heisman candidate?

Billy reminds of another Gator alumni currently coaching at the HS ranks, that seems hell bent on a philosophy in their collective approach to football, no matter how often they result in negative outcomes. He appears to have the recruiting side of things down, I'm still not convinced he's as equally proficient with x's and O's, in as far as preparing for games or with his in game decision making.......time will tell?

Ain’t no “maybe” about it. Conference refs are no longer appropriate in this era of college football
