If you look at our rival fan bases (fsu, miami, georgia) they’re full of complete losers with nothing in life going for them besides their football team (not you, miami). They will do anything to protect that. They create fake Twitter accounts to pose as Gator fans, try to sow discontent in the program
/coach and paint us in a bad light to turn recruits against us. HS kids sometimes fall for it because it’s mind-blowing to them that any group of people are as disgusting and pathetic as Miami, Georgia, and fsu fans. Agree, we need AI to root out these fake accounts and refer these people to somewhere they can get the help they need to be functioning members of society.

You know, AI might actually make social media obsolete one day... would be so ironic... and sweet.

Slow so I figured why not.

Barkley talking about discovering a young Dirk Nowitzki and wanting to offer him money to go to auburn. Basketball I know but he closes with Cam Newtons dad getting 200k to go to auburn and how SEC recruits at the end lol.

If there is any doubt as to how Georgia and Bama got where they are and how we are where we are then you're pretty naive or willfuly ignorant. All schools offered enticements but some get hammered and some don't. We hired three duds with an AD that had no foresight or a structured method of "redruitment." Our coaches surely bought players over the years but some of those other schools bring in players regardless of the coach because the guys pulling the strings are more vested (desperate) to be relevant in college sports. LSU for example never seems to fall off the map during coaching transitions.

i understand using Bama and UGA in comparison because our history but our issues since 2009 is that we have lacked a coach who can develop talent year in and year out. We haven’t fallen that far behind TALENT WISE to where we should be on the verge of our 5th losing season since 2013. That’s coaching and development because the talent is there.

UF is still in the top 10 of current NFL players and A LOT of them wouldn’t even sniff the NFL if they went off what a lot of these kids accomplished while at UF. They aren’t being properly developed in college so when they get to the league, they’re way behind the learning curve when they can’t rely on their athleticism anymore

I agree and disagree with this. We definitely keep putting guys in the NFL moreso than our current reputation makes it seem however we have had major gaps in various positions over and over again. We haven't had nearly the depth across the board regardless of talent which is why we have been able to hang with anyone for a while before we fade. Napier has done great so far and I have to hope last year was the last year striking out on Olinemen because of the mess our NIL has been and the lack of stability prior to that. I find it interesting that a no personality guy like Kelly can slide into LSU and win recruiting battles right off the bat. Can't see that happening at Florida

Def agree. I saw this tweet yesterday that highlighted that Napier and staff doesn’t have an issue ID’ing talent specifically on the OL when it comes to HS recruiting, but we haven’t been able to close on those kids.

Still think our NIL needs some work, or priority given to the trenches rather than the skill positions. That would kinda be my first approach. Build the line and then add the skill.

We need to get Taylor Swift to marry a Gator to fund our NIL budget. TT had his shot, but blew his chance.

yep i agree. Mullen showed he didn’t need 5* or top talent (going off strictly the recruiting rankings) talent on offense at the skilled positions to make an offense work….but showed he needed top end talent on the OL to SUSTAIN it. Bama and UGA built up the trenches THEN over time added top end players elsewhere. Using us an an example; none of our skilled players outside of EW3 were top 150 kids coming outta HS but the offense does click when the OL holds up and the playcalling is on point. BUILD THE LINES BY ALL MEANS….legally that is lol

I think there will be changes on the staff this off season. 1 or both of the OL coaches? Who the OC will be is another big one. These decisions will tell me a lot of BN and where he's at.

The #1 talent acquisition mission for Billy and his army, imo. Go flip some that are highly rated. Outbid where they are currently committed. If a highly rated OL hits the portal at 4:00 PM, have an invitation and airline ticket in their hands at 4:01 PM.

Have our DEs sacked anyone recently? Whatever happened to our DE rushes from edges?
