That would be a fair post but it doesn’t resemble the OPs. Just a few weeks ago we had a bunch of Nazis take over a bridge in Orlando. And of course we have congress members blaming Jews for global warming.

Nothing about it suggests that he didn’t think neo-Nazis exist before - what’s surprising people is seeing that the sentiment runs far broader than the small handful of idiots who go march with a Nazi flag.

You only have to get four words into his post to see that what he said he was shocked by is “the amount of anti-Semitism,” not that anti-Semitism exists at all.

 

I can’t speak to any of these in particular but I’m not sure every protest with a bunch of Jack hole ignorant college age kids supporting Palestine and protesting Israel are specifically anti semite.

 

Not my intention to dogpile anyone. The OP isn't the only one all of a sudden ‘shocked’. But after the last few years, the fact that so many are suddenly shocked at antisemitism just shows how easily our opinions are manipulated.

 

I'm more shocked by the college protests. I once saw a rally to protest removing a confederate statue. I thought they had a point until I actually saw them. I don't believe one of them had an IQ above a comfortable room temperature. I imagine the NAZI protests are similar. Its basic statistics. There are morons among us.

I expect more from people who attend college. I expect a lot more from those who attend elite colleges. It appears I should not have.

*I was eating at a restaurant when the confederate statue protesters marched by. I did not knowingly attend their event.

When you have members of congress blaming Jewish space lasers for global warming, and still remaining power players, and actual Nazi organizations demonstrating left and right for years, should anyone be shocked at any among of antisemitism?
