A a conspiracy when proven true is no longer just a theory. It’s starts as a theory and many are true. There are many conspiracies in tge world and most will never be proven. As to college football, it can even be caught on camera , reviewed, and then lie stright in the worlds face. Tge call against the saints a few years ago tgat kept them out of the Super Bowl… there’s just no other explanation than the ref is full of shit. The call cannot be debated, that’s straight cheating. Moving the ball back on us is unbelievable too. You can’t make tge stuff up. Nobody can actually believe these guys when they make those calls. It’s not corruption unless it’s proven in a court of law by honest lawyers is what you’re saying right?
We got our ass whipped no doubt. The didn’t need the officials. Do you not think we get tge short end of the stick though. Tgat moving the ball back was kinda weird.
Sorry for being a little off-topic, but you have to give the UGA program credit for setting their foundation at the right moment. To beef up recruiting, they capitalized on the instant when all the big SEC powers were down, and the perception that the Alabama+Sagan marriage days were numbered. Navigating NIL and the transfer portal, while UF was busy chasing it’s own tail. They’re just getting stronger too while our coach is still figuring out this conference. It’d be a gift from the football gods if a nice lil scandal derails that program right now. But I think even they have properly prepared to handle that as well
First off, I’m not one that disagreed with your comment. I hate this new trend of “my truth”, there’s no such thing! Something is either true or not true, a person’s view doesn’t change that. You can have your own opinion on the matter but truth is truth. Ok, rant over. Carry on
Spot on with everything you said. Not at all saying we were the better team or we should have won the game, but, the momentum definitely shifted on that play. Egregious call. The best team in the nation for 25 straight games doesn't need extra help from the refs. And the goal line TD reversal with 1:30 left was just as bad and had absolutely no impact on the outcome of the game at that point. That call should have stood or been confirmed for multiple reasons.
You can “feel” however you want, but you’re clearly missing an entire generation of UF getting owned by Georgia when Dooley was their coach. So don’t be surprised when more knowledgeable people disagree with your post
That was a huge deliberate momentum killer by the refs. It wasn’t a missed call. When the freaking replay booth makes the wrong call, it’s deliberate — especially when they choose to overturn the call on the field. And then set the ball farther back by 2 feet. It’s not whining — it’s calling BULLSHIT on the crooked SEC refs. Screw this homer conference
If you had something like, I dunno maybe some bank records of wire transfers to a series of shell companies or to the ref’s family members who then in turn funneled money to the ref then I’d listen. That would be compelling and worthy of investigation.
But it goes without saying that those types of incidents ACTUALLY happen in real life. Referees have been known to take bribes to influence a game, and even at the highest levels of the pros like the Referee in the NBA who got in trouble for it. So while it may be an accusation with out evidence for that particular situation (NCAAF REFS) the actual practice of bribing refs is in no way just a conspiracy theory as it's already happened before. Whether that is happening in college football? Who effing knows. With that said We lost to UGA but it was not because of the refs regardless of their shitty officiating. UGA was just the better team.
Georgia was the better team and are much farther ahead than us. I'll wait to get upset until we go toe to toe with them and some ticky tack call decides the game. That's not what happened this year.
When it comes to Georgia and FSU, there are exceptions, but it feels like waves of time where one team in the rivalry dominates until the other rises and the other dominates. I'd say the 90s were the exception to this rule because both Florida and FSU were arguably at their best during this decade. But look at the last few coaches: Muschamp: Dominated by Georgia and FSU. Won one game in each rivalry in 4 years. Mac: Dominated Georgia until the wheels fell off in 2017 and he got fired. He had the luxury of a fading Mark Richt and a baby Kirby Smart before Georgia was loaded like they are now. Dominated by FSU as Jimbo held on to the glory years as long as he could, especially when playing us. Mullen: Dominated by Georgia because Kirby settled in around the time Mullen started and only got better from there. He won a tight one in 2020, but that Florida team was genuinely great. Mullen dominated a dysfunctional FSU team.
