It would be nice to say that defensive pass interference is black-and-white. But we all know that different officials call it differently in different games. In this game, they were not calling PI for bodying receivers. That was a huge disadvantage to Florida. First, our receivers are small and do not create much separation, while their defensive backs are big and very fast. Second, our DBs were rarely close enough to their receivers to even commit PI. While there was garbage calls in the game (especially the no 1st down) I think the no PI calls reflected talent discrepancy as much as anything else.good DBs drape receivers.
I think I read there were only two penalties on each side. I guess they decided to just let 'em play. I saw so many holds and facemasks that were missed, even with an official in direct line of site of the infraction. But, I'm used to that with Georgia and Alabama. I was more upset about the ridiculous reviews.
That reception by Wilson where they originally spotted the ball as a 1st down only to change it after a video review that was not only lacking indisputable view to overturn call but even on review it still looked like he got the ball to the line to gain and "IF" short only by a couple inches, they spotted.that ball like a yard and a half back. Should have been a 1st down. That play and review/call reversal and shitty spot changed the entire momentum of the game.
SEC refs are just practicing for when they take 100% of their orders from ESPN. I hate to see it, but all of sports is becoming like the NBA has been for years: it’s a show, not a competition. Almost like pro wrestling. If we get the proper review on the 3rd down before the 1st 4th down play, it’s first and ten.
I’ve always thought the officials were a bit slanted when it came to any UF team. Nothing the SEC front office does surprises me anymore. Just like why hasn’t ga ever played A&M more than once AND NEVER visited College Station? Eleven years since A&M joined the league. I digress!
I’m just curious what I wrote that two people disagreed with here? I was just stating a truth of mine that you can’t disagree with as it’s my truth. We used to beat UGA every quite literally every year and hear from SOS how they’re our biggest rival and never got it until they starting winning again which for me is a new thing. How can one not agree with my perception? It’s like telling someone what movie they like or not. It’s not your truth, it’s mine. Lol. The internet is silly.
Seriously does this BS really bother you ??? Lol You ought to see my dislike /disagree/ come on man tallies. I could give a rats azz ! In fact I take pride in it .
Traditionally Gator fans bitch about the officials more than any group of fans I’ve seen . Every loss we have had it’s the officials fault . Can we stop it ? Makes us look like losers , whiners and Jort wearing wimps
Yes, it is a conspiracy theory. A conspiracy theory is when you make an accusation without a shred of evidence, such as, oh I don’t know, accusing officials of taking bribes without the slightest bit, not any, not one iota of evidence. If you actually have real evidence, show it.
Your 'truth' my 'truth"???? ....OK Pontius.... (I believe 'opinion' might be the word your looking for...perhaps....). As for the dbl bacon--ima guess it was limiting the hate for the Gators to Spurrier's wit, when it predated him, and for his contribution, it was far more for the ass whoopings he administered on the regular and the RUTS, than for the occasional jab). But that's just my *truth* ...since you asked.
