• Recruit, recruit, recruit
• Never protect a 4 point lead (see Muschamp for examples)
• Get multiple bad-azz O-linemen
• If inconsistent on play-calling, particularly during crunch times-hire an OC during the off-season.

That’s disappointing on all levels considering Mertz has been a leader and a consistent bright spot on this team. Esp since he was probably one of the top question marks along with the o line coming into the season.

I’m not in the camp that thinks this UGA team is so great.
Expect vs UF and UK they haven’t been like the last two years.
USCe shut them down in the first half and their D is trash.
Aub played the close all game.

Even money Mizzu beats them. And if LSU wins out they will get them in ATL.

I think OSu/ UM beat them also.

Time will tell but I don’t see a third NC this year.

We played our worst game yesterday and it was after a bye week. If think our talent is better than what we saw yesterday.

 

What does this have to do with your initial post of this DL being average or average plus for florida’s standards

I didnt take your inaccurate post to be about individuals i incorrectly thought you were referencing actual team production. I stand by my initial response and subsequent posts. Carry on with the deflections.

FTR the dline will get better but its gonna take time and effort by all involved. We can discuss many of the technical reasons for their current performance as well as things they do better than last year

 

I’m saying the best DL we ever have is about half the strength of a good DL from UGA or Alabama these days, so an average one is even farther down. It was not much more than 10 years ago William Green was on the cover of the preseason guide because he was considered one of the top players on the whole team and he was invisible. We’ve done worse than what we have now.

We’ve got nothing left to talk about. You pick an individual player from 10yrs ago to show what?? I’ve been consistent our current DL group is better than last year’s and will improve over time. They would be ranked #30-40 over past 40 editions based on production to date in 2023. They clearly have limitations that need work but fast twitch muscle is something we are lacking.

If you believe our best DL over last 40 yrs is 50% of a bama or uga current DL my time is spent better elsewhere.

Yep. Was on the road returning from a funeral (more like a 100th birthday party cuz that’s what the lady wanted) and turned the radio off after that play. Hate to admit it, but I decided that listening to Buble (for wifey) and Jelly Roll (for me) was time better spent.
