After the Georgia game, a good change of pace, might be good for the team! Come out and totally dominate Arky. That would be good for the soul!
I think players and recruits go for this stuff. Younger fans do too, considering the merch sales. I don't really care one way or another tbh. Alternate jerseys are not even on the short list of things that irritate me about this era of CFB.
I’m not a big fan of them. It’s not the team’s colors. I also get UF is hardly the first to embrace something like this. Because…. I do believe the players and recruits like it. I am happy it is tied to a special cause.
I think black uniforms are a bad idea for many reasons. I hope next year the rule is to wear military inspired jerseys to honor the veterans, so there is more wiggle room on the color and style. I assume youngsters love the idea.
I like it. It's not a every other week deal and the jersey looks sharp. A once a season is cool with me. I also heard the game is sold out. Can't help but think the unveiling of the black unis had a little tondonwith sellout out a game against at a struggling ARKY team.
It sold out after the South Caroline game where our fans all suddenly thought "we're back"! I'm traveling to the game from Texas, so trying to find reasonably priced tickets. So far, nothing under $100/seat in the stadium. I'm curious if prices will improve closer to kickoff.
I think it’s a given that we are recognized by our colors. Flipping through the channels at the games today it’s easy to pick out teams by their uniforms. I consider that good. Honoring our veterans is great. But I’m a little confused as to the significance of wearing black to achieve that. I’m not making a big deal about it. I just don’t get it. If it’s just to satisfy a sponsor just say so.
I miss the days when you could walk up to the stadium and see folks with a number of fingers in the air trying to unload tickets.
Sell outs are to be taken with a grain of salt these days. Ticketmaster, Vivid Seats, Seat Geek, and other online ticket retailers are just a platform for folks with no intention of attending to buy tickets and sell at a higher price. It’s kind of ironic that scalping tickets is supposed to be illegal, but it’s certainly fine on those platforms. Sincerely from someone attending that game who bought “verified resale” tickets.
As a once in while change, I am looking fwd to it. Wouldn't, mind it happening once ever other season.
Big who cares for me. Kinda funny it's a noon game, should have been saved for a definite night game, more excitement and all that, place will be half filled at kick off...hooray.
It’s only illegal within a certain distance of the gates to the event. You’ve always been allowed to sell your tickets for more than face value, you just can’t do it right outside the stadium.
I don't care what we wear, but I think wearing black at noon in Gainesville, even in November, is a really dumb idea
The weather should be nice enough though. A lot of people stressing over the black uni for a noon game with the heat in Nov, but the weather they'll have that day doesn't compare to the heat they work in through the dog days of summer will be nearly 30°+ cooler than what they practice in through the off season
