UGA DBs had hands all over our receivers all night long. Specifically two big plays were affected. Our 4th down Etienne pass where Bullard is tugging Jackson's hips so he can't run his route and on Pearsal on 3rd down on our 1st drive of the 2nd half.

Meanwhile their WRs were running free. If the game is going to be called like that, then our DBs have got to be doing the same.

Agree in all but we’d be called. The curse of Spurrier’s wit has a lot of people hating us for a generation. Was worth it.

One thing I never understood is why he always got excited for this perennial loser, UGA. I’m eating that crow now-a-days.

The Vince Dooley Era was particularly unjoyful. It hasn't reached that proportion yet.

Sometimes it almost seems as if the opposing coach knows, in advance (so they can gameplan), that DPI or defensive holding won't be called or offensive holding on the O-Line won't be called. Then when Florida catches on, after falling behind, the announcers tell everyone there's nothing to see here because the refs are "letting them play." Next game, every little ticky-tack infraction is called. Not just a Florida thing though but always seems to favor one of the SEC sacred cows (Gumps or LegHumpers).

They were mugging our receivers all game long and we never got even one call. I can't stand these SEC officials and their inconsistencies.

They are very consistently biased against us. We will never win a nat ch unless we are so much more talented and have heisman players on team. Our only 3 were because our talent over matched the bias refs 96,06, and 08. The refs almost prevented us in 06. Did their best with the incomplete pass (I believe this was 06) that was called a fumble at Auburn. The ref said something like “qb was attempting to not throw the ball”. That was a clear mis use of the rule. If arm going forward irrespective if qb attempting to not throw and ball comes out it is a pass.

In summary I have now gotten dis heartened with UF football in the SEC with the bias against us. It is so blatant. It is not just the calls and non calls. It is also the fact our opponents get the benefit of the review staff in Birmingham but we have to use a challenge by the coaches. Some refs marking us 3/4 of a yard less than what our player got and vice versa for opponent.
We have to get rid of all conference affiliated refs.

Yep, and our 2020 receivers were so much bigger than the DBs in the SEC that they overpowered the DBs... Our receivers yesterday (on our team now) never had a chance becasue we don't teach our DBs to mug receivers, so they were not used to that tactic that the SEC lets these other DBs get away with.

Inconsistencies by the refs... I mentioned that in one of my posts.

It’s just like Alabama and offensive holding. If you do it a little bit on every play, the refs don’t want to constantly have to stop the game so they let you get away with it.

They hated us, and the officials screwed us, long before Spurrier came along, trust me. But he sure added fuel to the fire. In spite of all of the screw jobs by SEC refs, Spurrier still won. They REALLY hated that.

It reminds me of Jimmy Johnson telling his Hurricanes team prior to playing Notre Dame in South Bend, “If you go into Notre Dame and leave it up to the officials, you’ll lose every time.”

I’m probably paraphrasing there, but the point is made nonetheless.

Us with They missed face masks on 2 different players on same play, no calls, goes both ways. Refs suck.

TBH that's a good sentiment to have regardless of what team you're playing for. You win the game on the field not by hoping officiating saves you.

Complaining about officiating if it's anything less than criminal is the domain of losers. It's never fair, even a completely unbiased crew will miss something.
