So, after the UM scrimmage, what does the starting line up look like?

I figure the 2 front court players are Micah at C and Tyrese at PF.
and maybe the PG is Walter Clayton JR.?
Kugel is def. one of the wings.
    Who gets the other spot?

Since there was so little info released about the scrimmage, it's hard to speculate. But I'll give it a shot.
    1--Zyon Pullin, 25 minutes
    2--Walter Clayton Jr., 30 minutes
    3--Riley Kugel, 30 minutes
    4 or 5--Tyrese Samuel, 30 minutes
    4 or 5--Micah Handlogten, 25 minutes

    6--First off the bench--Will Richard, 25 minutes
    7--Second off the bench--Alex Condon, 10 minutes
    8--Third off the bench--Thomas Haugh, 10 minutes
    9--Fourth off the bench--Denzel Aberdeen, 10 minutes
    10--Tenth off the bench--Kajus Kublickas, 5 minutes

This is of course WRONG, because Zyon Pullin cannot play to start the season, so scrap it. His deducted 25 minutes will then give Clayton 35 minutes, Denzel 25 mins, and Will Richard 30 mins. Golden opportunity for Denzel to show what he can do.

Actually, I just found some good info about the scrimmage on another site. Skip down past the older article on the top and you'll find CTG talking about the scrimmage. He seems quite pleased. Except about transition defense. And 3-point defense.
Thomas Haugh adding weight, learning new position with Gators

Haugh sounds like he could be a Chandler Parsons 2.0 type player in the making...

He seems happy. I like that he says "really, really" like BD does. Carrying on the tradition.

I agree, but I think he may be farther along than Chandler was as a freshman. CP got better every year, but he was kind of frail at the start. Talented, but not SEC-ready. Haugh looks a little stronger at this point.

You might be right on that one. If he takes the same sophomore leap Parsons did then that would really be something

Yep. I'm not saying Haugh will someday be SECPOY, but he's got the potential to be a really really good 'un.

Wasn’t it his junior year? Went from like 8 and 4 to 13 and 7. But that senior year was insane. Was top 5 in the league in assists, rebounds, and three pointers.

I was curious too so looked it up, he actually had a surprisingly good freshman season...was the top scorer off the bench at 8.1 points along with 4.0 rebounds....then 9.2pts and 5.7 rebs as a sophomore, 12.3 pts and 6.8 rebs as a junior then 11.3 and 7.8 as a senior.
The biggest jump from freshman to sophomore was in his SEC play, from 5.9 pts and 3.6 rebs to 10.5 pts and 5.6 rebs.

His junior year was when he had the two big buzzer beaters

So I'm going to go ahead and say both of us are right and neither of us are right haha

He was better as a freshman than i thought...

Interesting picks. I'm excited about the potential of both Condon and Haugh, based on the tidbits coming from practice and scrimmage observers, but I doubt CTG will start two true freshmen. Maybe one, and not right away.

And no chance he sits Richard or Pullin for one of them. Plus, given the loss of Jarvis and Shimmy’s current unavailability, we aren’t gonna see much of Haugh at the three.

Once everyone is clear to go, I anticipate a first unit of …

    1-Pullin
    2-Clayton
    3-Kugel
    4-Samuel
    5-Handlogten

Richard, who was great vs FIU, will bounce a good 25 mins at 1 thru 3 spots, but that first group is the best defensive lineup for now.

So, Pullin is a better defender than Richard? That's great if he is because Richard is pretty darned good on defense.

Florida started the same lineup with FIU as they did against Miami.
Maybe this will change when Pullin is available.

    Walter Clayton
    Riley Kugel
    Will Richard
    Tyrese Samuel
    Micah Handlogten

I seem to recall that TG said that he was starting Clayton at the point to get him ready for the first 3 games of the season.
