I saw this on another board and thought it was a solid post: All logic and reason pointed to us getting beat today (I fan-ed an upset pick). But not this bad. I’d really like to see this irritate Billy, and be a turning point. I can’t stand Smart, but he’s passionate and coaches like it and it’s transfers into how his team plays. Our team has taken Billy’s more passive ways and plays like it. We have some players and talent, but we’re devoid of leadership. Leaders we haven’t seen in quite a while. Timmy, Siler, Spikes, alphas that people gravitated to and held people accountable. Help is coming in terms of talent, and I’m hopeful there’s some natural born leaders in there. Lagway seems to have that IT factor we badly need. Billy is the HBC. But changes have to be made, not necessarily just coaching staff but mentality and approach. I think the mentality piece is spot on. Kirby’s urgency and intensity are one of the things that make him great.
To be charitable, I think it was an amazing play by the defense. Mertz ran up there and it sure as hell looked like a sneak to me. I can't believe that play didn't generate a big play because it was smart and called at the right time. It almost seemed to me that UGA must be been scouting our practices because it looked like they knew that play was coming. The guy rushing Etienne seemed to know from the get go where he was looking to throw it.
I've had shelfies of OF and was never particularly impressed. The SiB barrel strength bottles I've had were store picks from a local - 130 proof. No way is a blend of 86/100 gonna measure up. I don't doubt that blend is pretty good, but this SiB pick is excellent.
Do we know what Billy says or does in the privacy of the locker room? When Muschamp ranted and raged and showed "passion" on the sidelines did our team play better or did he eventually get fired? More talent and experience is what will make us a better team

idk if you follow recruiting but our top OL recruit out of high school would be UGA’s 3rd-4th highest rated recruit on the OL and our 2nd highest OL commit would be UGA’s 5th highest
Y’all prolly being a little tough with the criticism of the o line. Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter were monsters tonite. Tough to be effective against that level of pressure up the middle.
It is for sure to a degree. Context… Better than negative and we were just dominated by a rival. While I know we will get to 6 wins and a bowl it’s ok to understand want the SOS or Meyer days back.
Agree to some extent but what about mindset, mentality, urgency, and intensity? I know that answer. It’s an easy one. All those things happen everywhere.
I’ve got the 100 and enjoy it, for me it’s not in the same league with the SBBS, but I’m game to mix up a small amount and see what happens. I also like the OF 1920 and they have a SBBS rye that I’ve looked all over for but can’t find.
Disagree. Florida ranked 100th in sacks allowed before today's game. Obviously things were just as bad today. OL desperately needs to be upgraded.
I think we are in opposite directions here., talking about 2 different things.I was talking about people that are mostly negative posters, coming in now and sarcastically saying how great coaching etc is..trying to be funny..because in the game thread they were ripping the team and coaches up
SEC teams we are better than: Vandy, Miss. St., S Car. SEC teams we are maybe slightly better than: Auburn, Arkansas, Tenn. SEC teams that are better than us. UK, UGAG, BAMA, LSU, Ole Miss, Mizzou. So basically we are in the middle of the pack. Better recruiting classes (in a row) will get us to the top 3. Better coaching and portal management will get us the rest of the way there.
Oh, ok, I understand. We may be on different pages in another sense though with urgency, intensity, etc. I really like Billy. Have talked to him 1:1 been around in group, etc, and would say ( and this ok for me to say) might need some more urgency and that includes in the portal too
