The Swamp may be louder at times, but I must say the fans at Kyle Field are WAY more engaged than any fans I've seen in any other stadium. They do "yells" (like cheers) the ENTIRE game, whether they are winning or losing. They also don't sit down AT ALL...even at halftime. Pretty rowdy bunch they have down there. I've been to all 3 games that Florida has played against them, including the COVID game when we lost by a last second FG.
Lagway is going to be a beast. He seems to just keep getting better and better. I think he really wants to be known as the guy who woke up the sleeping giant UF football program. I feel like that’s what drives him, because he could have gone to almost any college playoff contender if he just wanted to go somewhere to continue their current success. This young man wants to blaze his own path.
I heard he called the Heisman House and told them to move the ceremony up to October and only one invite was needed.
I was there last year and didn't think it was that loud or engaged. Fans were fabulous before and after....and very knowledgeable group. Loved everything about the trip. But on that day (when clearly TAMU wasn't a great team) Iwould say Auburn and UT are louder.
Standing the entire game is a tradition known as “The 12th Man”. It’s a cool recognition of a game back in the 1920s when a student in the stands suited up and played at a time of need. Not doing it justice, but that whole institution is pretty regimented and was a bit much to me when I did 2 years of grad school there. I stand pretty much the whole game in The Swamp, but at least it’s by choice
His size reminded me of Tebow as well at the HS level, but also made me think of AR last year. He is a physical talent and his Willis team will go as far as he can carry them.
Dang...both of those throws looked like as much effort as you'd expect from a screen pass. Impressive. Here's hoping he not only knows how to win, but has that Tebow/Spikes HATE to lose.
