Post-Game Discussion: FLORIDA vs. georgia

It has to be priority number one but is also the hardest job to fix. It takes a slew of players and time to build the unit. As players move on, we need guys tgat have been in the system a year or two to add to guys tgat have already been playing. You don’t just throw five talented guys on the field and expect a cohesive unit. It’s not like Revis Island where you just cover the guy in front of you. It’s a unit that works as one.

 

Somebody at CBS hates the Gators. Their “Play of the Game?” A great TD pass? A big run? Nope. That putrid fourth down trick play with the direct snap to Etienne. Instead of showing a highlight reel play by the winning team they chose to show the losing team’s most inept moment.

 

The problem as I see it is two-fold:

(1) we are here (2) Georgia is here

 

Hey, at least we only committed two penalties for 17 yards.

Dabo is one of the biggest complainers about NIL and the portal. He lost his monopoly on play for play, and Clemson is a blink and you’ll miss it town. There’s not much revenue in the town to fund their NIL and he knows it.

Agreed on all points and if you can’t get fourth an inches by stuffing their poop in , then punt the damn ball. No trick play in tgat situation.

 

I agree. The turnaround on D is nothing short of amazing. It will get better with experience and recruiting. We have good players. We will get more and as they get experience, they will get better. We have a ridiculous schedule next year but I think we'll do fine. Gotta fix our O line - gotta go as hard as you can in the portal.

 

The sack fumble doesn’t bother me much as they were bringing constant pressure with a four man rush. That’s going to happen.

Our d didn’t get gashed to bad on the ground. We were outclassed a bit but they played hard and didn’t roll over.I like what I saw as far as culture and we did some good things.

 

Jackson caught the ball and went down either at or just a few inches short of the line to gain. Somehow over a lengthy review (it was the end of the quarter), it became 4th and a yard.
Other than that, the most disappointing thing is that instead of uncorking a 19yr bottled in bond Old Fitzgerald, I'll suffer through some Bardstown Disco 9 and a barrel proof 13 yr Eli Craig.

 

It sucked but it wasn’t from a call or lack of effort. Shit happens. They are better than us right now.

 

We are 10-12 players and an offensive coordinator away from being competitive.

 

About as expected, glad that is over with, we will be more competitive with them next year.

 

Tip the cap to uga. Their qb is exceptional. He made some really great passes right on the money to guys in stride that really hurt Florida.

the biggest issue in the game was ol play. Again. Florida has got to find a good ol.

 

uga is good. Winning today was a tall order. I'm an optimist...and even I realize the Gators need another year or two to get to uga's level of talent, experience, and depth. Gators have talent...but they're very young. I still like this team. A lot.

 

A play that could have or did define the game? Yep, embarrassing. When we are really good, that stuff won’t be necessary
