Maybe he gave into being an insightful, realistic expert. I would have lost respect if he'd picked the Gators to win.

 

As a commentator he shouldn’t have his O&B glasses on. We give crap to other analysts that “show” favoritism to the team the played for. Kanell, Pollack, McElroy.

 

His head vs heart won out.

 

And even if Timmy does think we have a good shot, he would be accused of being a homer for even picking us.

He has to be extra careful because anytime he picks the Gators when they are the clear underdogs, he’ll be seen as a homer. I’m sure he feels more free to choose his heart based picks when it’s another team.

I don’t know Gatorhead. Worthless and weak is strong language for my hero. Criticizing his opinion as a commentator trying to not play into personal bias is one thing but damn.

 

Tebow needs to play to his strengths when making calls like this.

If he talked to some of the players and gauged their attitude and approach to the game, I would weight his opinion over that of any random commentator. (That is something he understands better than most anyone)

If he is just shooting from the hip, I don't care what his opinion is.

Unless he picks the Gators, of course.
