Well, you said it’s not being said at all. I said it is, because I read the boards. If you think the Bucs board are all trolls, then what about this board… are we all trolls too?

I’m not angry, I’m just relaying information. I’d argue that you are the one who is angry, as you are flying around responding and hitting me with bacon for simply relaying factual information… that there are people who are upset that Trask was drafted within the Bucs fanbase.

Not only that, you are making up things I never said, such as Trask should start over Brady. You are also bizarrely throwing around geographical location and season ticket ownership as a reasonable way to determine if, or if not, things were posted in the Internet.

:( I'm somewhere between...but I guess the half of $1.38 million is still a better deal. But if Mayfield gets hurt good luck finding me...lol

I think everyone would agree trask was a waste of a draft pick. The team had Tom Brady and was in win now mode. Why draft the next guy? We should have drafted to help Brady. I don’t think anyone hates Trask because of his college. And I only include reasonable folks in that, not anonymous internet people.

I am also calling for trask to start. Not because I think he will do well. He will do awful. The OL is shambles and he doesn’t have the escapability. But we’ve seen what we have with Mayfield, and he’s nicked up. See if the next guy can give a spark.

and for heavens sake, bench Ryan Neal.

Here you go @tigator2019 … now you can no longer say you have never seen anyone say that Trask was a wasted pick.

@GameTime1, I respect your opinion. I actually agree that he will have been a wasted pick if they never intend to give him a shot after Brady left. They could have used the pick better in that case… and it looks like that may be what happens.

The way we protect the passer, the best thing that could happen to Kyle Trask is not to start

He did very well at UF with similar circumstances. He has a quick processor, so I think he’s exactly the kind of QB that you need to combat it. What they need to do if they start Trask is give him a long leash to get used to NFL game speed. What I’d hate to happen is they give him one start just to appease his supporters and then if he has a bad game they say SEE he sucks… and then back to Baker after one game.

There are folks that will argue the color of the sky. Trask should get his chance to start a few games this year though.

Yep, it only took the main players (QB1 and Tight-end) in New England's offense to do it with.

What’s your point though? It is true, just like the first Bucs Lombardi took a Vikings castoff and a Jets guy.

The coaching staff that won that last super bowl for Tampa Bay is no longer coaching this Tampa Team. That is the main reason why the Bucs are struggling.

Bowles was a huge factor in the Bucs winning a superbowl. Unfortunately, I believe DC is his best role. But the staff this year and the staff in ‘20 is very similar. A lot of the same coaches.

Bruce Arians Manning the helm is the difference between then and now. Just having him in a executive/advisory role is doing nothing for the team.

How about a compromise? Let's go full circle.

The Bucs trade Trask - even trade - for Jameis Winston. He becomes backup to Carr and when they begin losing he is there to audition. Winston "completes" the Bucs' silly slide back to their true colors, and the world is "sane" again.

    Agreed?

    C'mon now...

The best Defense since the '85 Bears, loaded with like 5 Hall of Famers (Sapp, Lynch, Brooks, Barber, perhaps one other that eludes...), and on O had Alstott and Pittman at RB (caddy wms before him), plus Jerevicius and McCardell at receiver, and a solid OL anchored by Kenyatta Walker.

Brad + Keshawn Jnhn = Tom Brady + Gronk???

The Jhnson bro's were mere riders on the Bucs' D bus.

I mean--that's why Dungy got the boot. That team was !@#$%@#$% LOADED, and needed just a few tweaks to close the deal. Hell, they almost won in '99, with an Offense so pedestrian that when that Bucs D held the Greatest Show on Turf to a scant 10 pts, they still lost!

Meanwhile, the Bucs team that Brady and Gronk joined, while solid, was very green, and very much a work in progress. TB and Gronk drove that bus, they weren't riders.

    jmho/fwiw.

Well, if they are going to go back to "the old ways" then it seems to be a great idea to both get Trask out of there while screwing up the brand completely. Must be a bitch being a long term Bucs fan.

The old ways? That would all but guarantee that Trask would win a superbowl somewhere else. :p

BTW, wth's your problem with the Bucs? Envy? 2 SB's this century.

Miami hasn't come within sniffing distance since the mid 80's, and haven't won since the early 70's.

Jax came close once maybe twice, but still o-fer.

(...and btw, if you want to harken back to the Culverhouse days, they made the PO's within 5 years of being founded, and even when they were winning only 3-5 games per season, they still managed to be competitive).

I’m always been a phins fan and liked the Bucs ok. My son is 32 and a lifelong Bucs fan. When they drafted Winston, he never watched another game.
