This tool blamed mass shootings on teaching evolution in schools. Abortions are why Republicans need to cut Social Security benefits. He is dangerous.

Well, that is hindsight. This is more like all of the other fanbases in the SEC dumping on Graham Mertz and ranking him 14th best QB in the SEC before the season started.

Yep. Every Dem running for a House seat is going to be running against this guy. The commercials with all the crazy things he's said are going to be relentless. There's something like 18 Repubs in the House from districts that Biden won in 2020. They all voted for this freak and their constituents will be reminded of that early and often.

be realistic. the small group of magats have outsized power because the two parties gave it to them, rather than work together. there is no other way that a small minority has such outsized power than the intransigent position of both parties to punish any member who breaks ranks. disagree and dislike all you want, that is the truth, both parties own this

pubs have the majority, they should have the speaker but the minority party should help them put someone reasonable in the seat and get some concessions for that. both parties are more interested in fundraising and power grabbing than what is best for this country. this stupid partisan, social media driven gubmnt is going to really hurt this country

Rhetorical questions don't call for answers. They suggest them by their very nature. I saw no point in pretending it was a sincere question.

    Did you get THAT?

    (^^^ = rhetorical--you neednt bother answering).

Both sidesism is ignorant. The fringe isn’t running the Democratic Party into an iceberg. It’s easy to say that when you lean right a wish the gop wasn’t bonkers so you throw the dems in there as bonkers too but that doesnt fly.

How do we prove that Donald Trump is an innocent choir boy who just has mean tweets vs Donald Trump openly defying laws? I suggest a trial by his peers (or a judge ruling as he opted for in NY) but maybe you have a better idea.

That's on the Repubs, not the Dems. The Dems didn't vote for this guy. Who should they have voted for?

There are no reasonable Republicans. There are no reasonable Democrats. Once the Supreme Idiots codified corporate purchasing of politicians, reason came to an end.

What you are describing coalitions in parliamentary style government. For better or for worse our government is geared around party. Also, you haven’t acknowledged that Republicans have no interest coalescing around a someone with the help of Democrats. That is the kiss of death for them. You are blaming Democrats for something the Republicans just would not do. Democrats are the enemy.

At the end of the day, Republicans unanimously chose this guy, even the 20 or so who voted against Jordan. So it really wasn’t about Jordan being too far right or an election denier. It was because he was an asshole. They were quite content to vote for somebody more conservative and as much of a denier, who seems to be nicer.

That's really hard to fathom. I mean, a little bit that anyone thinks that. But the idea that someone who actually believes that stuff could move into a position of power in a democracy
