I’ve always wondered why they show The Ten Commandments on Easter. *scratches head*

There will be no more omnibus or CR's. He will focus on the border. There are other issues but spending and the border are the most important.

My prediction is that if the GOP retains the House and Biden defeats Trump, they will not certify electoral votes under any circumstances.

I too am a skeptic. I am concerned that instead of being a true skeptic I will only be skeptical with things I don’t like. This is the rub. If you think you are being skeptical and you believe the nonsense you just posted you are wrong. You are myopic to reality.

Agree spending is a tough one. So are you backing Nikki? She’s campaigning aggressively on cutting spending. And under trump our national deficit was up to $1T /yr. Before Covid.

"Running for Congress in 2016, Johnson described himself as “a Christian, a husband, a father, a lifelong conservative, constitutional law attorney and a small business owner in that order, and I think that order is important.” Johnson said he had been “called to legal ministry and I’ve been out on the front lines of the ‘culture war’ defending religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and biblical values, including the defense of traditional marriage, and other ideals like these when they’ve been under assault.”

Some will find Johnson's comments comforting. I wonder if they'd find a radical imam's comments comforting. All radical evangelicals are to be feared, in my opinion.

I do like Nikki a lot on many issues. I don’t think the racist woman hating wing of the Republican Party will elect an Asian woman. Is she even Christian?

No, she is not fiscally conservative in the least. She is as swampy as they come and fits right in with the McConnell's and McCarthy's.

Surprising how an apparent supporter of Donald Trump can criticize Nikki Haley for not being fiscally conservative when Trump managed to increase the deficit in 2018 and 2019 when the unemployment rate was at a 50-year low. Not going to list all the examples but despite his rhetoric Trump was probably the swampiest president in history considering the former lobbyists he appointed to high government positions especially to positions with regulatory responsibility.

Perhaps because he's actually portrayed on the wall of the chamber?

Thanks. That explains it. At least he's not delusional. I mean, about having religious visions.

Yeah, no need to get too worked up about a new SOTH, it's not like the new dude will do anything different than the last 20 or so. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss...

Don't know much about the new speaker, but reading this thread and the elite chronic echo chambers posts on this thread tells me he will probably be pretty good. Sucks to be in the minority and you don't get what you want!! Your own Messiah once said elections have consequences, now back of the bus for you!!

Step 2/3 of the Trump scandal response:

    1. "He didn't say/do it."
    2. "He did say/do it, but it's not what the media says it is."
    3. "He did say/do it, it's exactly what the media says it is, but everyone does it."
    4. (the usually quiet part, but sometimes said out loud) "Liberals are triggered, so whatever He did was worth it."

*I want to note regarding item 4, I capitalized the pronoun out of an attempt to be respectful to other peoples' religious figures.

That's a pretty good bet. But I have a hard time seeing them retaining the House, especially with the freak they just installed as speaker.

I also don't trust her. In fact, I don't trust anyone who aligned themselves with Trump. Those who did put ambition over principle.
