Until the Florida Supreme Court rules on the 15-week ban, we're the only state in the South that doesn't have a draconian abortion law.

Your linked example is a good example. However it is 2015 and last I heard the program was actually retained (thankfully).

i meant in general, not since the fall of Roe. My poorly formed arg is that I bet the states that have put in restrictions have also scared women from seeking birth control, planning advice, etc. & that that has contributed to the increase in abortions. speculation on my part.

Is my dyslexia getting the best of me again or does anybody else have to do a double take on this thread title. Every time I scroll past it my brain thinks what's up with Pete Rose. I'm quite disappointed when I click on it.

Didn’t they have a later 6 week abortion law, that perhaps has been stayed?

I assume once this eventually goes into effect, this law will itself bring down national abortions.

It's on hold until the 15-week ban ruling.

True. I don't really think about Virginia as the South anymore, but it technically is. I was more talking about the SEC states.

Is the morning after pill murder? At what point does it become murder? Views have certainly changed over the decades.

interesting the mass marketing of propaganda and stats. One large church by me, the only events they have anymore is save the babies. Everything else has fallen by the wayside. A cult within a cult? Just pot stirring there. But the topic seems to be driven by the Righteous Gemstones. The intersection of religion and politics has always seemed a treacherous one. I’m certain we would handle it differently than the Taliban.

Doc has a point. It’s very easy to be anti-abortion. It’s a whole other thing to provide long term support for those mothers who will need it if they decide to keep their child. There are several programs that provide short-medium term support, but do not have funding to provide long term.

Morality of abortion aside, it must be a great time to be a young, single man these days.

Difficult to tell. It might be a challenge to get your intended victim to accompany you out of state for the procedure.
