You keep ignoring the damage from the virus itself. Not saying that officials did everything right, but without properly accounting for the actual cause of the problem, then you'll keep misunderstanding the problem, which is not vaccines. Fact is, while vaccines are not 100% without risk and while not slowing infection rates close to what was hoped, they have demonstrably reduced rates of serious illness, health problems like myocarditis, and deaths by upwards of 75%.

I get why you're concerned given your experience, but it remains that the safer route for public health is a largely vaccinated public. My own reasons for not getting a another shot (remember, I've been vaxxed 4x already) is not because I am afraid of the risk--I'm not at all. It's because of this other health issue I'm dealing with that has taken priority in my life.

The disease is a cold at this point. It’s been that way really since omicron. There was never a reason to authorize these shots for young people. The good news is the disease has continued to become less severe.

No, but we can continue to try and educate and rely on expert knowledge and findings. Sadly, some will never understand basic science and statistics, and others still retreat to little more than grade school name calling when science and statistics betray their ignorance.

Anyone trying to tell you lockdowns and school closures work is an idiot and a liar. No other way to say it.

There is nothing scientific about virology.

And Germ Theory isn’t even theory, let alone fact.

    ...at this point.

We have vaccines for a variety of infectious diseases, including influenza (which we also have a worldwide monitoring system).

    Why is that?

Because infectious diseases have the potential to kill, and even more so, because some become endemic, and over time, can cause sporadic epidemics and pandemics long after the first outbreak.

So even though at this point covid is killing far fewer and spreading less, real danger remains because the virus still spreads and still kills and could at some point, mutate and spike in ways that remain unpredictable. Call it deja vu all over again.

    Even a cold isn’t a virus. It’s simply detox.

Are you calling the authors of this paper idiots and liars?

A recent review analyzed the 1st lockdown (Spring 2020) in 130 countries and, after making multiple adjustments, concluded that early school and workplace closures saved around 1.5 daily deaths per million
How about the authors of this paper that looked at the efficacy of lockdowns in Chile?

Did I mention this paper from the UK?

There's plenty more out there too. Do you think these people with advanced degrees are all idiots and liars? Think you should go to their respective universities and demand they rescind their doctorates? Speaking of advanced degrees, what are your credentials? What and where have you been published?

As for me, I have BA in History and MBA in Marketing. The people who write the papers and study COVID are far more educated and knowledgeable in health related subjects than I'll ever be. I trust their expertise and opinions.

Now, there are those that argue the benefits of lockdowns and school closures weren't worth it. Yes, kids were hurt and educational attainment was stunted. But to me, and this is just my opinion, people are never too old to learn, and kids can gain ground on their education. Dead people are dead forever, and given the choice between two awful choices, temporarily stunting education for kids, or preventable deaths, I'll choose to keep as many alive as possible.

Lots of experts have changed their minds about the vaccine because of the lack of science and the proof of injury. Who got the new booster this year besides Travis Kelce? 1% of the population?

This grifter still thinks masks work LOL. It's why I just laugh at their posts. The charlatan then tries to copy me but just looks foolish. Anyone thinking lockdowns and school closures worked should just be laughed at and ignored. They've shown they are too obtuse to actually have a rational conversation with.

Taylor Swift or the booster: either way Travis Kelce is likely to get his heart broken.

One of us brings links from learned professionals with years of practical experience. The other one calls people names when he can't argue the facts. Which one of us should be laughed at and ignored? I guess if you have a grade school mentality and think name calling is an effective debate tactic, then that would be me. But if you are actually intellectually curious and like to read expert studies and their opinions, the answer should be obvious.

Grifter won't admit he was wrong. All you need to know. I have posted ad nauseum about how lockdowns and school closures were a disaster, how masks don't work and how natural immunity was shown to work in late 2020. Also have posted data showing the vaccine doesn't need to be given to healthy children. The rest is a charlatan unable to admit they were wrong. I'm here to just laugh at them at this point. Can't fix stupid.

Funny. The website healthychildren.org recommends at least one vaccine for all kids 6 months and older. Guess they are stupid and don't follow the data too!

And I was wrong about natural immunity. But I was simply following the data coming out of Manaus, Brazil. Turned out, the data was flawed and new data showed NI to be effective. But along with this new information, the data was showing hybrid immunity to be best.

Again, I bring links from experts who know far more than me. I'll admit when I'm wrong. I'm not sold on masks, not because they don't work in lab conditions, but in real world conditions, too many people don't wear them correctly to make them effective. Masks were never supposed to be long term exposure solutions either. And someone wearing a single use mask for the 10th time for 8 hours in a single day isn't going to be effective at all.

If you are laughing at me, and think grade school name calling is an effective debate technique, I can't help you. But as they say, ignorance is bliss, so please, keep laughing!

These shots are not vaccines. And are completely unnecessary at this point. Shoot. At least the flu shot is attempting to guess which variants will be prominent. These shots are designed for variants that are extinct and clearly cause far more inflammation based on the immune response. There is a reason most of the world is not longer pushing them. There is a reason you are not taking another one. There is a reason that only 5-7% in the US will take the booster.

But the idiots in public health continue to try and push these shots on every single person regardless of risk/harm/benefit analysis. Regardless of the reality everyone at this point has some sort of Tcell/Bcell protection via seroprevalence and/or taking shots.
