Perhaps but my theory is the greatest generation raised the worst generation. When these idiots die hopefully we can go back to sane governance where there are real choices in elections and not a choice between fascists who deny obvious facts and left wing loonies.

Here's a breakdown by age for 2016, 2018 and 2020. The Silent Generation had the widest margin for Trump by far and millions of them have died since 2020. They were ages 75-92 in 2020. Hopefully that will matter in 2024.

 

So was Romney with Obama at this point. These polls don't matter a year out. By the time the election occurs, Trump will have multiple convictions. Also, it's a binary choice when you step into that voting booth. A year out, people respond to polls with all kinds of feelings.
