Mark Meadows Flips on Trump, Spills to Jack Smith: Report Mark Meadows has reportedly testified before a federal grand jury impaneled by Special Counsel Jack Smith in exchange for immunity from prosecution in the Justice Department’s election interference case against Donald Trump. According to ABC News, the former White House chief of staff has testified under oath at least three times, twice before the special counsel’s office and once to a grand jury, regarding the investigation into Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election. Meadows reportedly testified that he had told the former president the election was lost and, according to sources, testified to the DOJ that “obviously we didn’t win.” Trump has long suspected that Meadows would flip on him. In June, sources who spoke to Rolling Stone stated that Meadows was referred to as a “rat” among Trump’s inner circle, and indicated that the former president had sent allies on a “small fact-finding mission” to ascertain what Meadows had been telling investigators.
Potentially very bad for trump. Meadows was at the Prez side during it all and was also in frequent contact with Ginni Thomas including many times on J6 iirc. - will be interesting to see if any testimony goes into what all that was about. Don’t see that happening but would like to know more about her involvement.
Powell and Chesbro both took the option of a speedy trial. That put pressure on the prosecution to have the case put together quickly, and it would also serve as a roadmap for the later trials. Both those facts provided incentive for the prosecution to plea them out vs expending resources on those trials while having to prepare for the others. I have heard it speculated that the two requested speedy trials in anticipation of getting a more favorable plea deal.

This is how the minimum sentence a judge is required to impose in felony cases is calculated. On page 4 are the legally valid reasons when a judge can downward depart from that minimum sentence. Pay particular attention to the 1st and ninth reasons, "Legitimate, uncoerced plea bargain" and "The defendant cooperated with the State to resolve the current offense or any other offense." (The legislature has assigned an offense level to every crime which is required to calculate the sentence.) Although it probably completely escapes them or they really do not care it's somewhat ironic that Republicans and right-wing commentators who refer to "the Biden crime family" worship a certain politician and former reality television star who frequently uses the same language commonly used by a real Don of an organized crime family.

He isn't that integrated into the money laundering operation. He is more like an outside contractor. They pay him to disguise the value of real estate for use in money laundering by attaching intangible "brand value" to buildings. But I doubt any of the folks in charge trust him enough to put him in charge of actual decision making within their business or holding any secret information.
