That's exactly what he was supposed to do. He was seen as a caretaker president. But now he wants to keep all that power. You know the old saying about what power does. I don't mean to say he's corrupted, except in the sense that he has lost sight of the only thing he was elected for, and that was to get a national scumbag out of the White House. He did that. Now go home, Joe!

I know you are just trolling here, but Trump has stated his plans for a 2nd term and they basically boil down to installing himself as a king and erasing all checks and balances on his power.

It's the results of Trump winning not the election itself.

Biden has done a fine job and he never said he was running to serve just one term.

Also, presidential polls a year out are fairly worthless.

Or maybe he see himself as the only one who can beat Trump again.

Who do the Dems have that is a slam dunk win that he is keeping out of the race? Nobody!

I don't care what he never said, I'm talking about how he was perceived. He was somebody, the anybody, to get rid of Trump, and he seemed a safe choice to do that, even if 76 at the time. He was seen as okay till 80.

The leaders already tried that. First he said that he couldn’t hear them. Then he said he needed to go the bathroom. After he cleaned up and put on new Depends, he forgot where they were and what they were talking about, so he took a nap.

The leaders are going to try again this Tuesday right before lunch.

If your thesis is that he is too senile to do the job, go listen to some of Trump's recent statements. For one, he seems to believe Obama is currently president.

Just bear in mind, friend, that there are millions of Americans who can't wait to vote for Trump. In jail or out. Senile or just insane. Sounds like a cult, doesn't it?

    You make a fair point.

Maybe I am naive about Biden’s need for power, but if he actually ran because he viewed Trump as a threat to our country, it’s possible he is staying around for the same reason now. If true, Biden might be content to pass the baton to Harris if he thought she could beat Trump and do the job (presumably, he believes the latter or he wouldn’t have picked her in the first place).

Biden would then be credited with not only taking out Trump where the Clinton machine couldn’t but also paving the way for the first woman as U.S. President. His poll numbers would rise immediately. He’d be a hero to Democrats and never-Trumpers alike. He strikes me as a bit tired if anything. The job must be exhausting for anyone of any age. Unlike another guy, though, I don’t think Biden needs the office to fuel his ego, to brag about having classified documents, or to impress people at parties.

    Just my opinion/gut on this.

Unfortunately I don’t think credible and sensible candidates are interested in dealing with the kooks of their particular parties. It goes back to the electorate taking back the power away from the crazies.

Well, at one point, he did suggest we set aside the Constitution and re-appoint him as President given all the “trouble”.

Trump rebuked for call to suspend Constitution over election

WTF are you yapping about. Do you check under your bed for Trump before your mom tucks you in for bed? My God, the lunacy of some of these delusions.

At least at one point the Republican Party had honor and character…unlike the party of slavery, Jim Crow and Jimmy Carter….
