Let me see if I understand this assertion. If we have a Presidential Election next year and Trump wins move electoral votes than Biden and is elected President…we have lost our democracy.

Is this what you are saying?

Watch this video of Biden ... from just two days ago and show me where he looks like he has lost it. Is he a riviting speaker? No. Is he a mumbling bumbling mess? No.

Why the hell do you think I'm giving "Trump or his voters a pass"? It's his millions of supporters and voters who are giving him a pass, it sure as hell ain't me.

My post was in response to your saying there will be one person to blame; it seemed to me that you were talking about Biden and only Biden.

I'm saying he's the worst candidate that the Democrats can run, I don't care about his past accomplishments. So let me put it this way, the Democratic Party will be to blame, and all because of Biden.

This thread is a depressing reminder of where we are at as a country. Fighting over which is the least worse option. Terrible.

WTF are you talking about? How exactly is democracy lost by holding an election? You seem to be confusing democracy with a monarchy or dictatorship.

Basically right wingers who don’t like Trump sit around and blame Democrats for not having a right wing option. You see the leading Republican House leader blame democrats for Kevin’s ouster? Same thing.

Is that question directed at the 177 House Republicans who voted to throw out Democracy?

Biden is by far the least worse option, given the two. But that might not be enough to prevent the worst, because the worst is what too many Americans want. What we need is a much less least worse to beat out the worst.

Nice projecting... It's the Dems that used to have some "honor and character." Even Reagan left that Party of deceit and hatred. And that is well before the Leftists ran off the blue-dog Dems for your far leftists communist appetite to control the world and imprison your foes - We The People, because we want to keep our constitution... nation... sovereignty, and the commie Dems do NOT...

No, if Trump wins in 2024, that is not on Dems. It's on the idiots who voted for Trump.

Biden is old but he's also an old white guy, and that tends to cut into the margins in our extremely racist misogynistic voting populace

Idiots can be outvoted with the right kind of candidate. Otherwise what we'll have is an idiocracy. The idiots have the right kind of candidate for that.

I’m not sure you’re wrong given the current polling. People think these guys are too old and tired of them. Carville has been sounding the alarm as well. I get it. But no one one has stepped up to mount a serious primary challenge, and we are speculating about what might happen if a generic Democrat were replaced in the polls with an actual person with a name and whatever personal, financial, professional, or ideological baggage they would bring.

Harris is next in line but not very popular if we are looking at polls. Is that an internal fight the Dems want right now? Whitmer, Gavin, and Shapiro, for examples, have done well at their state levels but we don’t know how they would fare under the scrutiny that would come with being thrown into the top spot and attacked by the other side 24-7. We also don’t know if they would flop like DeSantis has done trying to talk to people in small town diners. We don’t know if they would be able to stand up to Trump in a debate and tell him to shut up or whether they’d be be beaten down like Trump did to various Republicans such as Jeb and Marco.

Biden said he ran to stop Trump in 2020. I don’t know if that’s true but if Trump were to drop out, I think there would be even more pressure for Biden to do the same. Biden isn’t popular but he has been probed and tested at least.
