Indeed. Police are trained & socialized into U vs Them even if those words aren't actually used. Another way to think about it is that the culture of policing has police seeing themselves as warriors not guardians, and symbols like the thin blue line flags only serve to promote the warrior mindset and further remove police from the communities and people that they serve.

Eggshell/skull. You take your victims as you find them. Bad news for Chauvin.

The LOL of this thread is not how quickly it failed, but how many times it failed.

But I certainly appreciate @duggers_dad off topic Jaws reference enough to not rate it off topic. Very creative. Made me chuckle.

It's been some time since I've seen the video but he went unconscious and urinated himself while he was Chauvin was on top of him. Minutes and even seconds count at that point. A few minutes is a very long time not to check a pulse. I don't understand why he wasn't in a recovery position to begin with as he was restrained and controlled at that time.

We had a call one time. Guy was running from Brevard County into volusia wanted for murder. He wrecked into a concrete pole and was then put in cuffs. He was alert and oriented when we got there. While waiting for a bunch of jurisdictional stuff to get sorted out between state, city and fed he became lethargic and slow to respond to questions.

Everything takes a back seat at that time and he's immediately transported. He's our responsibility at that point and that stuff ain't happening on my watch.

If George Floyd died from a fentanyl overdose then Ashli Babbitt died from stumbling and hitting her head.

so your theory is he took a lethal dosage of fentanyl, went to the store but it didn’t kick in until the cop was kneeling on his neck? Bless your heart.

Police ass kissers will believe that before they ever hold a cop accountable for killing someone, even when it’s literally on video lol

Falsification of evidence, i.e. corruption, is a big deal regardless if Chauvin deserves to be in prison.

Sure if that's the case but nothing you've posted in and of itself out of context means anything. I'm suspicious myself that pressure may have been levied but your sources aren't exactly unbiased. Far from it. I get accused of both side isms all the time here in part because I play Devils advocate on most every issue. I think you have to. The first part of supporting an argument is to attack your own argument whatever that may mean. Starting an argument with a biased source isn't exactly a good way to support an argument .

Police officers have ruined many peoples lives via falsification of evidence, so if this murderous cop’s life happens to be ruined because of this then we just chalk it up to karma.

The thread title started off with a question mark. So, I am not saying this a slam dunk by any means. It is one witness. A witness taking the stand and claiming that evidence was falsified, under oath, in the most nationally significant trial of the past 5 years is a newsworthy event if you ask me.

There are some huge concerns that come to the surface if that testimony is true. There is the violation of the rights of the defendant to have a fair trial. There is also the issue of the rule of law being overthrown by the threats of tyrannical mobs. If political mobs are allowed to prejudice the judicial process by violent threats, then those political mobs are overthrowing the rule of law. Groups like ANTIFA and BLM will do what they did again if they know they can subvert the rule of law for political advantage and get away with it.

This might seem right in your mind, but we have a legal system that errs on the side of falsely acquitting a guilty person rather than falsely convicting an innocent person. The greater injustice of the two is when the innocent are convicted before the law as murderers. Chauvin, while I do not believe he is innocent in every way, has rights as a defendant and he deserved a fair trial even if he was guilty.

I don't know much about how long it takes fentanyl to kick in, I imagine you are better qualified than me in that field but I think he was pretty messed up when the cops first took him out of the car. I do suspect the fentanyl had a lot more to do with Floyd's death than the Chauvin did. From what I could see and hear my guess is that had Floyd been sober he never would have died from Chauvin's actions. Had Chauvin never shown up there is still a very good chance after taking a lethal dosage of fentanyl Floyd could have died.

I never said it was right, I just said I don’t mind seeing police get a taste of their own medicine. I never see any of the police worshippers on here express any displeasure or concern when police falsify evidence and get people thrown in prison for crimes they didn’t commit, so you must excuse me if I don’t care when it happens to police, especially to scumbag murderers like Derek Chauvin.

You seem incapable of asking a question and learning from the responses. Two sources refuting your OP yet you continue to fight the bullshit battle. It's lame but please feel comforted in that you're not alone in believing what you want to. It's a national epidemic.

Definitely seeing this pushed on alt-right media feeds. I’m sure he has or will seek a new trial if there’s something new and material that’s come out. That’s his right.

Derek Chauvin is exactly where he belongs and I can't imagine why anyone who saw that video would claim otherwise.
