I thought their QB was too much into the biggie play instead of the competent play. But in the end, the fumble before the TD was damn bad, especially after Miami scored on the next play. And to the QB, what I saw was that, besides their damn nice TE, their WRs are VERY pedestrian.
I thought that THE biggest "fun" thing about the game was that it was all about the "ring of honor" and no one showed up, except the old players and coaches. And they had to watch Cristobal be Cristobal. It was CLASSIC!!!
I dont get the Dabo hate from our fanbase. He has been a perpetual thorn to FSU and has given Bama a bad day or two. He's fine by me.
He rubs people wrong. I get it. He's not a real likeable personality for many. No need to overthink it.
Dabo has that massive contract in his back pocket but there must be a lot of grumbling in Tigerville now. Clemson is a shell of what they were just a few years ago. Dabo thought Garrett Riley was going to be the secret sauce to revive them. So far it’s been more sour than sweet. Dabo is all about his culture and because of that they do very selective recruiting. Them’s not always the best players though. Clemson had a nice run. Because of that Dabo probably got too comfortable and has coasted a bit, imho.
Dabo Swinney says Cade Klubnik didn't run the play called on failed 4th down in Clemson's 2OT loss to Miami
I saw most of that game and I can honestly say the Dabo is a dumb football coach. Miami did not win that game Dabo lost that game.
Lol, I say that all the time. But you were certainly not to only person dressed up as a seat-back in that deadazz stadium.
Thanks 62 . . . IMO no decent coach throws his QB to the wolves unless that coach is feeling quite a bit of heat. Very bad form but I'm very old-fashioned.
I saw the game. Dabo had a few seconds left in the first half near their own goal line and instead of kneeling and running out the the half Dabo ran a pass play and Miami almost got a 2 point safety on Clemson's QB. That was straight out of Coaching 101 dumbazz mistakes do's and don't-s.
No Rick, that was supposed to be a pitch-out the other way but the Clemson QB wouldn't run that play either. Hey . . . this might get fun. LOL!
You mean Dabo said his QB ran the wrong play? Either way, on your own 2 or 3 yard line, he should have just run out the clock. Nothing go was going to happen... even with a successful play.
Probably right about that, but Brent almost lost to UCF... So, Either UCF is better than their record suggests, or Brent Vendibles had a major brainfart all game long. Either way... UCF was in that game until the end. Brent is in need of more talent. I do belidve he's a good defensive coach, but I'm not sure he's a good head coach.
Okay some of this got confusing. Clemson had the ball on their 10 yard line with 48 seconds and one time-out left before the half. Miami has only one time out left too. I'm not sure I would pass the ball with 48 seconds left... with only one time-out left... with 48 second until half-time. You can see it at the 6:00 min mark on this video. However, what really hurt Clemson was that fumble by Will Shipley on the goal line earlier in the game.
I mean, dumb football coaches don't dominate the sport like he did for 7 or 8 years. Yeah, the Dabo hate is weird.
