New testimony in a court case in Hennepin County, MN suggests yes there was a miscarriage of justice against Derek Chauvin.

One of the four officers involved, Officer Tou Thao, presented a defense in the death of George Floyd that showed Dr. Andrew Baker, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, was coerced into claiming George Floyd suffered neck compressions.

Before meeting with the State, Dr. Baker told the defendant and his lawyers that “[t]he autopsy revealed no physical evidence suggesting that Mr. Floyd died of asphyxiation. Mr. Floyd did not exhibit signs of petechiae, damage to his airways or thyroid, brain bleeding, bone injuries, or internal bruising.”

On Friday, May 29, 2020, the Complaint stated that the full report of the ME was pending but that the preliminary findings “revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation.” See Complaint in State v. Chauvin (27-CR-20-12646).

In the final report, his blood concentration level of the powerful street opioid fentanyl was three or four times the level known to cause “fatalities.” Floyd also had speed and marijuana in his system.

I thought the same at the time, but a falsified autopsy report is a game changer.

Because Chuck Callesto says so. Just look at that guy's Twitter feed and the stuff he posts. Who in their right mind would support Mike Lindell?

Are you suggesting that Floyd was going to die that day no matter what.. even if Chauvin didn't kneel on his neck?

Most likely but impossible to know for sure. Chauvin isn't absolved of a crime because what he did wasn't necessary. Any one of us would have had a medical event in the same position with half dying from cardiac failure. The body isn't made to be put in that position and it's how most people die in collapsed homes or tunnels, they can't expand their chest to breathe and suffocate.

In a court of law under oath the prosecuting attorney, Amy Sweasy, said she had a conversation with the coroner. According to her, the coroner said there was no physical evidence of death by strangulation or asphyxia that was discovered during Floyd’s autopsy. She claimed that immense pressure was applied to get the coroner to change the autopsy report.

I posted the thread because I saw this popping up on some social media accounts. I was curious to see what people thought of it. I do not know if that document is new public info or not.

Nonetheless, Amy Sweasy’s testimony under oath does seem to be new information.

Wrongly imprisoned isn't the question. Personally, I tend to consider his actions negligent and in dereliction of duty once Floyd's level of alertness changed. Manslaughter yes and maybe murder 2 which I believe is what he was convicted of but the inflammatory narrative used like "modern day lynching" was a mischaracterization of the events in my opinion.

None of that changes where Chauvin is and should be right now which is of course prison.
