Anyone got more info than this? Florida won 91-89. Zyon Pullin hit a buzzer beater to win the game on the final possession.
I wonder what an actual called foul looked like LOL There were some pretty serious hacks w/o a call. Maybe no fouls called if the basket was made.
Miami is #13 in the AP preseason poll https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketbal...duke-and-purdue-lead-preseason-ap-top-25-poll, so a good showing against a decent team. It looks like we have some bigs who can run, position & score but Miami often played small last year so if that's how they played, we might've been against favorable match-ups. We weren't hitting 3-pointers (25%), which was a problem last year (31.4%, #313), and allowed Miami to shoot a high percent (46%), which we defended okay last year (31.6%, #53). Free throw shooting was abysmal (63%), worse than last year's 71.7% (#184). We might have a couple of players that can get their own shots. In case you miss the pinned article. I don't really see that as a real "but". If that's how they play and we beat them, then there's no qualifier needed. They played well small, apparently, and they are highly ranked preseason as a result.
Watching the clips and reading that young Mr. Haugh was on the floor during crunch time for the Gators makes me think he's progressing faster and farther than we expected. Nice!
Another year where I hardly recognize any player on the team from last year. Oh well. At least it's hoops.
