The issue is people don't want to combine analytics and context/situation. Duke is a really, really good short yardage defense, that should adjust your decision making (but clearly it didn't). Now its 10-0 Duke.
Agreed. Neither should be ignored. Have to have balance. Listen to your gut, understand the situation and momentum of both teams. But also understand analytics and percentages. Problem is, the analytics seems to be overly favored these days. It's all the rage. Look forward to that dying out as I find it a boring way to play the game.
