Funny! But in all seriousness, when?

When do you propose we take that first step to owning that we CAN operate with a surplus, and actually striving to do so? When do we take that fateful first step to paying off thst mountain of debt?

Does a republican have to be in office for you to even entertain the convo?

Of course there is a political angle as well. The funding request is for Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, and the border. He knows damn well the gop will likely get behind the border funding as they bark about that constantly, but are less likely to get behind the other items.

Some people would, sure. Roughly 40% are going to praise a president no matter what, and 40% are going to criticize a president no matter what. In terms of the 20% in the middle that a given president is trying to influence, I think a day to recover and rehearse would have been in President Biden’s interest.

They need to let him communicate in the core Joe Biden communication style.

“Russia reminds me of Corn Pop. Just like Corn Pop, Putin is a bad dude. And Corn Pop - I mean Russia - won’t stop touching my - I mean Ukraine’s - leg hair while Ukraine is just trying to be a lifeguard at the pool with the children who hadn’t seen a white person’s leg hair before. And when Ukraine looked around and said ‘cmon man, cut that out!,’ Russia pulled out a switchblade knife! Can you believe that? Like I said, bad dudes.”

Except he’s trying to reach across the aisle so something more patriotic sounding like: We shall persevere and win just like “our revolutionary soldiers took over the airports” so shall we!

Correct. We are borrowing money to give to someone else. In what real-life scenario would that ever take place?

His better speech (and imho, the best he has ever given) is here:

That was in Israel before coming back. The story about Golda Mier at the end was gold.

Sounds like you just described almost every bit of foreign aid we’ve engaged in since 1945.

Yeah there were so many Israeli military raving at the music fest. This guy needs to be dragged out of hiding and dealt the same brutality the concert goers and other civilians were.

Does Shangri-La, Atlantis, or El Dorado? Theoretically, yes, if they exist.
