Um, I prefer to say "WHY is Taylor Swift?" But that is just me.

I disagree - those dang cowbells at MSU

 

Maybe we are getting it all wrong. Maybe what they are signaling is that they want the administration to tear down the old Strip Shopping Center for Humanities and build a shiny, new one. That is their sign to "chop it down". They are whining instead of making "warrior" noises. I can see it.

And to it all, yes it is mainly about too many folks being butt hurt about too many silly nonsenses. But in the end, it is mainly about showing the world how unintelligent they are. And that does not hurt my feelings at all. Kind of like the glitter dudes. If it floats your boat looking truly stupid, go have at it. We are laughing AT you and not with you.

 

Since I cannot like a post more than once, I will quote it and like the response.

 

I'm only here to let you know I care enough to tell you I don't care about anything Taylor Swift related.

 

She IS talented, no question at all. Her "crazy" gene is her idea of her boyfriends and relationships. My grouse is America's "Taylor all Day, Every Day". And now, "what would Taylor Do?"

For context, there are roughly 4x as many Seminoles in Oklahoma as there are in FLORIDA. But there's only one Seminole Circus. It didn't last very long, but the best when they had Ron Zook Field at Ronald McDonald Stadium a few years ago.

I was driving in NW New Mexico many years ago headed to the 4 corners.
On the way I saw Shiprock High School in Navajo country.
It is 99% Navajo I believe.
Their mascot- the Chieftains...


I would imagine they don't do any ridiculous tomahawk chopping though.
I thought it was interesting that they had an indian mascot, with imagery.

Yes. Had a great time a couple of years ago - went on a bus trip with the Atlanta Gator Club - was a bit cold and rainy, Trask engineered a comeback in the second half. We all actually enjoyed sandstorm - waving the white towels around. On the bus ride back to ATL, we played Won't Back Down on the charter bus sound system and all sang along - then we played Sandstorm and waved the towels around - there was a good video posted on the ATL Gator Club FB page when we did the sandstorm, was pretty cool (of course, because we won). Winning there in Columbia tends to make it more our own.

 

Oh absolutely, but right behind that is having a dang cowbell clanging constantly right behind you in your ear all game long.

I remember when my buddies and I all sat together in the 89 UF-F$U game (Emmitt's last game) - every time their band played that obnoxious chant - there was some guy sitting two rows behind us - half drunk, mind you - and he would bellow out at the top of his lungs 'F------K YOU SEMINOLES.....SEMINOLES..... F------K YOU!' We all died laughing every time. Even to this day, when I hear that chant - those words/cheer go through my head

Not a fan, but compared to the Cardi B's of the world she's probably one of the more sane ones.

 

The Braves ripped it off too. I never heard them do that stupid chant in Atlanta until Deion showed up on the team.

 

Cool — good story. For whatever reason Sandstorm hits me like fingernails on a chalkboard at 100 dB. Hate it - absolutely hate it. I hate the semis’ chopping and wailing worse because…….I freaking hate the semis. Guess that’s enough hate from me right now

 

That picture could in all seriousness be of real “Seminole Tribe of Florida” members. It’s been a few years, but I once visited their website and contrasted it with the actual Seminole tribe’s website, and the difference is pretty stark. You can easily eyeball that the members of the latter are mostly of tribal blood. Meanwhile, on the former, contemporary pictures of people were always at a distance or while wearing regalia designed to hide exactly how white these people are. The whole thing is a scam to have legal casinos and give legal cover to SWAC’s practices.
