See, the word "attack" is used both ways, regardless of who is responsible, if you read more than the headline, you'd have seen that.

 

In your mind, is there any way Israel can achieve their immediate and long term self defense goals without causing massive Palestinian carnage? I don’t have the answer, but if they do it faster and more aggressively than they need to they may win the battle and lose the war in terms longer term alliances with other countries in the region.

 

Yes, you have to be in the hospital on the ground to count body parts. And the numbers were released within a couple hours. Put the two together and I want evidence to show the numbers. Verification. The media and WHO did not put out verified information initially. This is a huge problem, as they are trying to compete with social media and losing there objectivity and journalism.

As for alliances, the Abraham Accords and any deals with Arab countries are fragile.

I don't follow you. That post I quoted was from 4 hours ago ... where are you getting that number was released within a couple of hours? The WHO held a press conferece a couple hours after the attack and said they estimated 200-800. Now they have a specific number of 471. Maybe you should provide proof that the number is inaccurate, instead of your own baseless speculation. And I have no idea where you are going with the "compete with social media" comment. You really think the WHO doctors on the ground there would risk their credibility to side with terrorist jihadists and for clicks and likes on social media? That's an off-the-rails opinion.

Maybe it's just me but providing assistance to displaced people through UN agencies and NGOs is not remotely equivalent to providing assistance to a terrorist organization.

I can't find the full text but I've read four descriptions now, including the US representative's explanation for the veto, and none of them come close to characterizing it as a condemnation of Israel. The closest thing was a Russian proposed amendment which was rejected and even that did not go that far. In fact, two Russian amendments were rejected.

The US vetoed it because it’s the typical “both sides are being bad” that the UN spits out any time it takes up an Israel/Palestine issue, and makes no mention of Israel’s right of self defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter, despite the resolutions following terrorist attacks on pretty much anyone other than Israel including that language.

Something doesn’t add up. You don’t kill 500 people and injure another 400 with a single rocket in an open air 50 car parking lot. Any reports of secondaries? I would tend to believe this is salvo one of the propaganda war for when Israel goes in. We will see lots of these. It’s Hamas #1 weapon.

 

So anyone can make a claim about anything and because people "believe" an unverified source, they have to proof the negative? This is very dangerous. I have watched all the networks today and they are throwing info out without verification quickly to see if it sticks, with fear they maybe wont be first or very late. Its a business, they want clicks and subscribers.

I guarantee the WHO doctors (or likely Gazians) were too busy trying to save patients to count dead people. So again, people should be asking CNN/Fox/MSNBC to verify numbers and be on the ground. The fact that they arent there should tell you what you need to know. They would be either taken as hostages, killed or injured. Any number without verification from a outside source should not be trusted.

I read the article, but how is a failed missile an attack on the hospital. The attack was on Israel if the missile was Palestinian. I read the article but I stand by my claim that people make up their minds from the headline. If you disagree you’re giving people way too much credit. We live in a TikTok, Twitter society.
