I read the NY Times. The newspaper quoted Hamas and clearly indicated that it was a quote. They didn't report the narrative that an Israeli bomb was responsible as fact.
FYI. This is the story from the Times.
Palestinian authorities said the blast was caused by an Israeli airstrike. The Israeli military said a misfired Palestinian militant rocket, not an Israeli strike, was responsible for the deadly explosion. The health ministry in Gaza said it expected the death toll to rise.
Wednesday Briefing: Blast Kills Hundreds at a Gaza Hospital

This is from a different story from the Times:
Palestinian officials blamed the carnage on an Israeli airstrike, an assertion that was disputed by the Israel Defense Forces, which said it was caused by an errant rocket fired by an armed Palestinian faction in Gaza. Neither side’s account could be independently verified immediately, and the cause of the blast and the precise death toll remained unclear.

The first news to come out of Gaza is most likely going to come from the people who live there. Should media sources not have published the statements?

Those are after they first reported it was Israel was who did it. You are giving them credit for fixing their mistake of taking what Hamas told them was a lie.

I would like to think they would verify who launched the rocket before saying it was Israel. Especially considering Hamas is not exactly known for telling the truth.

Simple solution would be "bomb explodes near hospital" until they get verification who did what.

I made an analogy to support my rationale for why the MSM shouldn't listen to Hamas. You went on some weird off topic tangent. Take a lap.

LOL! Dude it says right there in all three headlines PALESTINIANS SAY.

Again, should these outlets just not report any statements coming from Palestine?

Fact is, there are people on your side who think listening to -- or more specifically, teach Nazi's viewpoints in school is okay -- so your analogy isn't as strong as you think. I bet most dems would agree with your analogy, though, I'm just providing some viewpoint diversity.

Do you really not see the "Palestinians say" part of those headlines?

Yes, Not only was the report 100% BS, the 500 people killed number sounds like garbage as well. Again, this is like taking Nazi's word on reporting on WW2. Just stupid.

LOL ... you got caught making up lies about American reporting, now you are changing the subject.

BTW, another good analogy would be "this is like taking the USAs word on their being WMDs in Iraq." Try using that one to show some viewpoint diversity.

So the New York Times receives a report from Palestine that Israel blew up a hospital in Gaza and you want them to not report it? Until when? Israel says it’s ok?

Whether it’s true or not, Palestine ACCUSING Israel of doing this is newsworthy in and of itself. You’re off your rocker.

What did I make up? The NYT's ran propaganda for Hamas. The rest is you going off on ridiculous tangents. I'd say do better but we both know that isn't happening.

Note the phrase "Palestinians say". That's called quoting not reporting as fact. They also quoted the Israeli position that it was an errant missile fired by Islamic Jihad.

How about report "explosion near hospital" until you verify that the terrorists aren't making up crap. Simple as that.
