...and those 31 STUDENT CLUBS... were and are comprised of... HARVARD UNIVERSITY STUDENTS.

This is just you wishing that 'no one agree[d] with them except rando extremists'--when it's quite apparent that so many misguided *enlightened* lefties, can not seem to distinguish Palenstinain from Hamas, because they're so indoctrinated and ingrained with word-association knee jerk reaction that they can't seem to distinguish good from evil, when they've long ago married Israel = bad and Palestinian = good.

Here is the letter signed by Palestinians support groups. I dont agree with it. It says Israel and only Israel is responsible for the violence. That's 110% bullshit. Being critical of people that just suffered such loss is also more than tone deaf its cruel. But suggesting this letter is because Harvard is teaching some level extremism is silly. So is suggesting Democrats are tolerant of terrorist sympathizers.

It's a Harvard thing. It is an institutional Harvard thing.

At least the folks who attended Harvard haven't lost their bearings like the school proper appears to have. That's encouraging; it can be fixed, because even Harvard has to answer to its people. Hopefully this will serve as a corrective occasion for our nation's oldest and most prestigious institution of higher education.

Tell the truth now--if 30-34 UF Student orgs signed a public letter celebrating this, or any terrorist atrocity in the name of X group for Y reason....would you be ok with that?

Just for context the first quote of mine you posted I was responding to a poster saying righties don’t trust teachers but always trust the cops.
I then said maybe we don’t “trust” any of them and then clarified saying trust but verify.

The second post was in response to another post where “righties” accused of again almost trusting the cops implicitly. I’ll say again trust but verify.

If a cop, teacher, Pol, whoever is accused of wrong doing I’d error in favor of the civil servant until all the details are in and not go off half cocked as many here do from both sides.

As I stated about the vast majority are not doing bad things, any data to show my take is wrong?

Right? I'm not going to support this teacher's message, but there was some talk of indoctrination in the thread and it seemed like the indoctrination issue and this circumstance might have been conflated. Perhaps this teacher should be reprimanded or worse for stupidity, but I didn't see where they were communicating the ideology under question to students.

 

I'm not favor of punishing teachers for what they say outside of the classroom for the most part. But this thread makes me wonder about what happened to the "viewpoint diversity" in the classroom we've been hearing about ... I guess that only applies viewpoints about stuff like slavery being beneficial to black people or hearing the "other side" of the holocaust.

It's a photo with absolutely no context. The display could very well have a class project in which the flags of different advocacy groups were displayed not a display indicating support of any of the groups by either the school, its teachers or its students.

It would have also been helpful if the tweet included a link to the source of the photo or even the name of the school. On the other hand perhaps it was best that the name of the school wasn't mentioned since it would have received a whole shitload of hate mail and/or the electronic equivalent on social media.
