Thanks. When I moved the cells it didn't have them absolute so the reference changed. Sorry, unaccustomed to working in Google sheets vs Excel.
64% of snaps were freshmen and sophomores on offense 63% of snaps were freshmen and sophomores on defense Pretty much says it all. Thank you for posting this.
Sure looks that way. Of course, if those juniors and seniors were better, they'd be playing. Shows what kinds of classes Mullen was bringing in.
This right here! Portal players literally saved mid major Mike and their dead program. Also Jordan Travis being old af and actually healthy didn't hurt them either. I believe they just lost another WR b/c JT only tosses to the portal guys. Norvell is going to take a HUGE step back next season when all those portal kids are gone & all the talented kids portled out themselves.
Billy is using the portal to fill needs, while bringing in very talented kids that earn immediate playing time. In the future our team will have less and less portals unless we have a glaring need. We have several portal players that don't get much playing time even though it was expected that they would. Fortunately, the freshmen have been exceptional to the point the older players are relegated to being backups. That's great for the future of the program. Now, need to get those young guys in the weight room in the offseason and get them bigger and stronger for next year. That alone should remedy some of the tackling issues we have seen.
Yes the portal is very important to plug holes and major needs. But CBN & CMN are attacking each differently. Norvell has prioritized his portal players over his own recruits, where his recruits are leaving. CBN is prioritizing the better player and depth over the portal kids. Norvell will be forced to constantly flip the roster b/c his kids aren't playing so they bounce. I haven't looked at their roster, but I'm pretty sure they lose all their best players to graduation/draft this year. He does have a solid class, but his track record with his own guys is Taggert lvl bad.
I can’t wait. It will be sweet when Vegas tries to set that over/under win total at 9.5 or 10. Easy under bet
They have way less SRs than I thought, but holy crap they have a LOT of JRs. They absolutely don't have any other 6yr DT-QB's behind Travis, so losing that is going to hurt them BIG time next year. https://www.espn.com/college-footba...t/experience/dir/desc/florida-state-seminoles
I would agree with you save for the fact that their recruiting has picked up this year. They were dead in the water and their portal work has saved them enough to help recruiting now. Sucks.
They were definitely dead in the water recruiting wise until a slew of blue chips spurned the normal teams for them. But rumor is some of those kids were paid outside of NIL boundaries.
I expect Johnny, Keon, Trey, Bell and Verse to all leave. Add that to the seniors they lose and it will be a rough go. Hell Toafili has been there forever, he might leave too. That might be Rodemaker-Rodney Hill backfield and throwing to some guy and another guy. If these frauds don’t go grab a whole bunch of starters in the portal again they are in for a very rough season
Couldn't agree more, especially with them needing the portal again. Especially if they start losing some games this year and recruitingtakes a hit. I'm beyond stoked we have them at home, especially having to face lsu with Daniels on the road. That to me is Ham's litmus test for defending fsu.
