#WorldWithoutWalls. You convince the world to erase the borders, you get my vote for Nobel Peace Prize.

It's probably much more likely that the Iranian is a refugee fleeing the Islamic Republic rather than an agent of the Iranian regime. If the Iranian regime wanted to send an agent into the US there are far more effective methods than trying to enter illegally at the Southern border.

ITs the only way to get illegal border crossings down to 0, which seems to be the ask for some people

Here's the thing. I'm probably one of the few non-right wing posters who actually wants a strong border, strong immigration reform, and an overhaul of our visa system. What's the point of having a country without it?

That being said starting a thread like this where stuff in place worked, and griping about immigration, is pretty silly.

I'd like to understand the mindset of people who read that deportations, detentions and arrests are around record levels, and are like "this isn't working at all, its chaos, open borders." Their mind goes directly to "think of the huge numbers of people getting through" ... where they are hiding other than people's imagination, I don't know.

There have been people from the Middle East crossing or trying to cross into the US from Mexico for decades. If you want to treat them all as terrorists, what do we do with the nearly 1 million Iranian Americans already here? Internment camps?

If terrorists wanted to attack the US, and spent years in the planning phase, think they'd choose an entry method where the risk of getting caught was high? Or, would they all enter legally by other means, like all 19 9/11 hijackers?

Nah, it’s probably a covert special agent of the Iranian government. Because crossing the border with a bunch of Mexicans, where they’ll stick out like a sore thumb, is the right move for top secret operations.

How, precisely, has Biden “created this bullshit at the border”?

I know a lot about spying, its definitely good spy practice to have a guy of your nationality try to illegally enter the country knowing very little English if any and no means of support, that's how you get quality information about ... the inside of US detention facilities I guess? But I'm sure he was on his way to applying for a job at a top secret nuclear facility. :)

That video provides no evidence at all that they are Syrian, except for the person narrating it claiming they are. Zero evidence. Even the Twitter post you link, is questioning why half of them are black...lol

All I'm asking is you provide a credible link... Don't be mad

Agreed. Without a defined and defended border, it is something less than a sovereign country.

By your lack of a response other than resorting to a dismissive emoji I can only assume you lack the ability to clearly articulate and defend the position you took in your post.

there are many with similar belief (me). imo it’s reasonable to want a enforceable strong border for your country. Now it’s more difficult to mention that opinion since Maga infused cruelty and bigotry into it. ie separating children from their parents and some still not reunited, using razor wire resulting in slicing up children, inmate number P01135809 demonizing immigrants and their country. He’s made many comments but his latest; they are “poisoning the blood of our country”.

I'm good with either securing ALL borders or securing NO borders. I'm not good with helping to secure Ukrainian borders, NATO borders, or Israeli borders if we refuse to secure our own. Either borders mean something or they don't.

This begs for a better definition of securing a border.

I'm glad the guy was caught. I have no additional commentary. This is the way.
