30 years ago. Spent plenty of good money after bad in these decades. How successful have we been? Maybe instead of the insanity of doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results, we try something new. Like a Gang of 8 plan?

 

Then we upped spending on Customs and Border Patrol by 11x and built a ton of infrastructure on the border. Now, here you are with the same quote trying to convince people to....do it again! Because it didn't work last time, which is why we need to do it again. If we increase spending by 121x from 1995 (up to $54 billion per year this time), that will totally fix the problem.
