This is nothing new. I remember as a student in the early 70’s watching from the breezeway between the Student Union and the theater Israeli and Palestinian students fist fighting in the plaza.
Not a Harvard worthy post. There were many people at Harvard that didn’t protest. If you saw the photos you’d notice what protesters had in common were that they were Palestinian and Middle Eastern groups with a history of opposing Israel.
We're shocked that any civilized human being would support such terrorist bullshit. Again, yet another Palestinian sympathizer celebrating Hamas' atrocities... and prolly bitching about ppl conflating Hamas for Palestinian in the very next breath. (In fact, kinda like you did, by inferring that by his name, he ought to be sympathic to a terrorist acts.... ).
31 student CLUBS--not individual students, but clubs--signed off on that BS. They did not officially speak for HU, but by the same token, it was more than some isolated fringe group.
Conservatives trust teachers. We object to teachers and schools who take to indoctrination and pushing their politics onto our kids, through their positions--as trusted educators. As for the police--yall trust them too--you just like to pretend you don't, to appear cool with the downtrodden whose votes you seek. ...but push cone to shove, yall are trippn over yourselves calling 911....for the police.
So, I should not infer someone with an Arabic name, showing pictures celebrating the activities by Hamas does not in fact support Hamas? Then, what was the point of this entire story other to highlight those evil Arabic sounding named people?
Please. You inferred from his name thst it shouldn't be a shock thst he sympathized with hamas--not from his name AND that he sympathized with Hamas. I'm saying no one gets a pass. It should be disgusting to anyone, most of all the ppl upon whom it reflects worst. Eg--I'm pro life; some pro life lunatic asshole kills a doctor or bombs a clinic...I discredit myself if I try to justify their heinous act for the justification; Eg2--Southern Man justifies KKK violent act against black man/jew/catholic.... rather than disavowing such... I could go on endlessly with examples/analogies to make the point, because it's a principle.
There are some wonderful teachers out there, remarkably patient, intelligent and love what they do. There are some teachers who think being a teacher inherently bestows a license upon them to indoctrinate and impact a child’s political thinking at a when children are very impressionable and thus vulnerable. The latter types sully the brand and unfortunately overshadow the vast amount of good that many teachers do.
Conservatives trust whatever and whoever their overlords tell them to trust. When your overlords instruct you to not trust teachers, science, doctors, vaccines, election results etc you obey like a good boy.
Not exactly individuals names now are they? I was using "clubs" loosely as a group of like minded ppl who voluntarily affiliate with one another, to contrast from a handful of fringy flakes. WTH point did you think you made???
Its a bunch of Muslim and Middle Eastern groups that oppose Israel. Its not a Harvard thing, its a middle east thing. Feel free to fix that buddy. Maybe Krushner didnt exactly achieve peace in the middle east. Who knew it could be so hard?
13.6 billion $$$ net worth alumnus took it to pretty personally, and was apparently grossly disappointed by Harvard's response to both the attack, and the letter. Israel’s war against Hamas roils Harvard as students, billionaires, and faculty accuse each other of anti-Semitism and McCarthyism Others agree: Harvard administration slammed by lawmakers, alums for response to pro-Hamas student letter Hundreds of Harvard faculty sign letter rebuking university leaders' tepid response to Hamas 'war crimes' GOP Harvard graduates send scathing letter blasting school's response to pro-Hamas students: 'Abhorrent'.. Certainly there are quite a few who view it as a "Harvard thing", rather than some fringy ME Muslim thing.
^^^to be clear....being Muslim does NOT excuse them for sympathizing with Muslim terrorism. It actually kinda raises the bar for them, as ppl seem to be expecting them to approve of terrorism...bc they're Muslim. (As evidenced in this thread already at least twice now, by our enlightened contingent). #religionofpeace!
GOP Harvard grads and the GOP at large has made this more about their politics than supporting Israel. If the GOP gave a shit about anything we'd have a speaker in the House. The fact that they are using Palestinians/Israeli tension as a tool in their attempt to distract from having nothing to offer does not surprise me.
No one in any leadership position has offered anything but condemnation for terrorism. There are rando extremists who think killing Israelis at any cost is OK. No one agrees with them except other rando extremists. Omar and Tlaib Are Condemned in the US for Saying What Prominent Israelis Are Saying
