Sorry to hear this for Brock.....one of my fav. non-Gator players to watch play. Was hoping he'd be healthy for our game. sent to a great player!
Having a tightrope procedure. Could in theory be back in time for the SEC Championship game and/or playoff games if we get there.
Wow, hate to hear this. He is fun to watch. Best of luck to him, hope he will be good to go for Sundays.
ESPN report says out 4-6 weeks, so definitely out for the cocktail party but could be back for seccg as hairy mentioned. Big hit for UGA, Beck is coming on but he needs targets to throw to.
Fantastic player- and I honestly hate to see any player get hurt. Hope he fully recovers and can play again this year.
Should be ok in terms of guys to target. Lot of good players on the outside still and we've recruited exceptionally well at TE. Obviously there is no 1-to-1 replacement, probably anywhere in the country (with perhaps the exception of Marvin Harrison), but there are plenty of talented options that will have to take on a more active role.
Some have said Tua had the same procedure and missed just one game with an open week. Completely different scenario. Tua was put in a position to get rid of the ball and stay in the pocket - basically keep him immobile. No way you can do that with a skill position where they have to run downfield, make cuts, etc.
Yeah....zero chance he's back that fast. We had another TE (Lawson Luckie) injure his ankle in fall camp and he came back from his tight rope surgery a couple weeks ago. We also had our OT (Amarius Mims) injure his ankle about a month ago against SC and the expectation is that he will be back in Jacksonville. I would think the earliest Bowers could be back is November 18th vs Tennessee at the 4 week mark and that's only because he's such a physical freak. Cedric Tillman had the same surgery after week 3 last season for Tennessee and he came back in week 9.
