You guys have any idea when we might kick off against the Razorbacks? It would seem the two marquee games that day are LSU-Bama and Mizzou-Georgia. Assuming one would be 3:30 on CBS and the other primetime ESPN. Where does that leave us? Noon? 4 PM??
I am not sure, but if that game is scheduled for daytime we should ditch the hot as Hades BLACK uniforms.
We'll find out next Sunday. I'd guess our game will be the 4th game in the SEC pecking order that weekend, after 1) LSU @ Bama, 2) Mizzou @ UGA, and 3) aTm @ Ole Miss. That might be a CBS doubleheader weekend, I'm not sure. But regardless a noon kickoff on ESPN seems like the most likely scenario.
Yep, but the black jerseys are for our home game against Arkansas. November in Florida is a hit and miss with regards to cool weather.
The coldest game I attended was Arkansas 2009, I think it was a 3:30 kickoff. It was a mild afternoon in the 70's so normal Florida attire was worn. By the end of the game it was low 50's and my short sleeves were not cutting it. Anyone else remember this? Hopefully it will be cool for that game if it's an earlier kickoff.
Decided next Monday or Monday after Georgia if the SEC somehow goes on a 6-day hold. Given Arky’s record and the fact no one expects us to beat Georgia, I’m guessing a nooner on Nov 4.
Didn't go to that one but the worst one I've ever been too was 1992 vs South Carolina, it was in the 40's, it was raining, the game on the field was putrid, the only excitement was the USCe mascot had an inflatable alligator that he was punching, he got too close to the north end zone and the fans stole it from him and passed it up to the top.
No one is questioning the reason why we are wearing the black jerseys... don't confuse the issue here. I just hope we get that game at night.
I was there but dont recall the cold. Coldest I have been at a Gator game was a Georgia beat down in Jax during the SOS era. Dawgs were all gone by halftime.
Against I think Iowa? in the GATOR bowl in the late 80s? Temperature was in the teens and people all around us were shivering… my brother-in-law and I planned ahead – put on our snow skiing gear with base thermals, several layers and thinsulate bibs/ski jackets/boots We snuck in a bottle of Jack Daniel’s and kept ordering “mixers” (for those of you who remember when guys walked up and down selling cokes in the stands)
