Former Arizona State head coach Herm Edwards frequently joked that he didn't even need to watch Pearsall work out when he was recruiting him because Edwards knew "what fast looks like" and “Boy, this son of a gun is fast.”

Having already spent four years at the college level and with his eligibility clock on the brink of expiration, an underwhelming final season in the college ranks could, of course, have proven detrimental to his professional prospects.

Pearsall is also on track to become the first Gator receiver to eclipse 1,000-yards in a season since Taylor Jacobs in 2002 and, barring something completely unforeseen, will be his team's leading receiver for the third-consecutive year.

"I know this guy," Florida signal-caller Graham Mertz said Saturday after Pearsall's career night. "I know what he’s thinking. We see the same things... And he’s the best route runner I’ve ever seen.”

He still has plenty of work to do for the Gators. Can't wait...

He cooked #21 on USCe a few times last night. He's made some monster catches over the last 2 seasons here.

Pearsall was good last year but he’s leveled up. Excited for his future here and in the league.

  7. It is weird feeling good after a Gator game. That was fun! Pearsall is simply amazing. I take back 1% of the negative things I said about the Gators these past few weeks.

He's well on the way to 1,000. Funny, Arlis Boardingham leads the team in TD catches.

The whole receiving group, (wr's and te's) have been playing great. The deep, concentrated catch by Jackson, 4th down grab by Pearsall, the lucky as heck tipped ball catch by Wilson (right place, right time), the juggling touchdown catch by the goal line by Boardingham...... Man, hats off to all these guys! Great, great win! And not to forget the fantastic efforts of Mr. Smack, and the D coming alive with emotion the last two South Carolina offensive series. Mr. Mertz,........... WOW!

    GO GATORS!!!!

The pass where he reached up and tipped it to himself and hung on summed it up about his potential to be the best we've had since Pitts. For that matter, he might already be that.

The two TDs and two defensive stops at the end looked like a team that came together to truly be there for each other.

Yeah, I laughed out loud when the leading DB in the endzone thought he was going to miss the ball and dove to the spot in the corner of the endzone where the ball would have fallen if Boardingham had missed his own tipped ball.:D;)

Catching it between his knees looked awkward, but showed his concentration on the play.

I never noticed that until later on last night when some site showed the pylon-cam of his catch. Talk about clutch...

I thought, "Oh no," because I didn't think he'd hold on.
