Post-Game Discussion: FLORIDA at USCe

I watched the game, it was a lot like this one. Rattler is good and he makes plays. Georgia is better than Florida but they had their hands full.

Nope, but you are like 0 for in prediction threads and are constantly criticizing. You deserve the call out.

 

In other good news Brock Bowers went out with an ankle injury, hope it’s just bad enough he is out in two weeks.

 

They need a special teams coordinator...

 

South Carolina sucks, to be sure, but this absolutely was an important win and hopefully will mark a turning point, sort of the way Doering’s TD did in 93. That win paved the way for our first SEC Championship game victory. We were good before that, but I remember the team seeming to play differently for the rest of the season, and beyond. Credit where credit is due—it doesn’t matter what team you’re playing, scoring seven with the game on the line and less than three minutes left on the road starting at your own 25 with no timeouts is incredibly difficult. I didn’t think they had it in them, not on the road and given the way they were playing. Mertz deserves a lot of praise for keeping his cool and staying focused, and so do several others.

 

Gutsy win! Happy for the team and the coaching staff.

And I wish people would stop whining about everything under the sun immediately after an unbelievably important road win against a team that threw everything they have at us - in a legit SEC environment. Not only was this a fine win in its own right, but also a possible "boys becoming men" moment that may define the future of the program in several respects. But for Heaven's sake...enjoy a stirring win by a young but promising team for one evening, anyway...sheesh. SMH.

 

Better than knowing we would lose.

 

This game had to do wonders for the teams confidence. So many times the team couldn't find a way to turn it around when things didn't go right. But to turn it around on the road is so amazing for such a really young team.

Not as consequential as a blocked FG against USCe in 2006, but an important win nonetheless.

 

Great win tonight. What a roller coaster. Defense needs to grow up quick though.

 

We are playing with house money in Jax in two weeks. No one giving us a chance, all the pressure on uga. Throw everything we have at them and see where the chips land.

 

Beamer now 1 game worse then Muschamp was at the same point in their coaching at USCe.

I think the D has shown continued improvement. Not as many big plays given up. Better tackling. The D line played well the last couple of series and pressured Rattler. Now just learn to turn the play inside. Keep getting better every week. And give the ball to Wilson more. When he's on the field it will open things up for the rest of the offense.

 

Hats off to our young bucks tonight…came to play on offense. BN may have changed his ways and loosened up the offense for the better. If this is the case we have a coach who can adapt to make things better for the team. Our last three coaches didn’t have that in them and it sucked. Hats off for some great calls from BN..but please trust your offense they are better than that 3 yards and a cloud of dust play calling they’ve muddled through.

 

Mertz said they planned it that way, lol.
