Republican congressman Ken Buck said he was withholding a vote for Scalise until Scalise could admit Biden actually won the 2020 election. He voted Present in today's closed door vote.
So our 2 leading candidates are both election deniers and voted to overturn it and Jordan still has not answered the subpoena issued by the J6 committee and he is chair of the judicial committee despite having failed the bar exam numerous times. Only the best and brightest.

It's not to hard to see why the GOP is in complete disarray selling their souls with maniacs like Gaetz, MTG and Boebert.

The GOP has been self-destructing for quite some time.

We could go back to the 1960s with the rise of movement conservatism or to the 1990s with Newt Gingrich and gop control of the house. Whatever the case, this self-destruction accelerated when Obama became pres and went full tilt with maga. Hard to find anything principled and not nihilistic that the gop stands for.

I'm not sure you can say that if you view videos from Tik Tok. Congrats for not creating an account I guess?

A peculiar comparison but yes, I agree, that video is probably worse in tenor than the threat maga poses for our country.

It’s such a tight spilt in the congress that the outliers have a lot of power it seems. Manchin and Sinema in the Dems were a thorn in the Dems side although they were still reasonable.

Close enough to be harmed by the odious side of social media.

But let me ask, what principled good does the GOP stand for these days?

Regarding Trumps being "open" to "Speaker of the House"
I'm open to his having an extended stay at Saint Helena, where he can marvel at the exploits of another "wanna-be" Emperor but obviously with the same "visa-rights" which were - nowhere but here pal!

A lot of conservatives have been asking that question for a long time. But to point the finger at them for being nihilistic, in light of all the garbage that comes from the left is a bit hypocritical.
