Depends on how one defines ‘imminent’. I was involved in a Daubert hearing a few years back debunking what another expert described as ‘imminent’. He tried to convince the judge that in geological terms it meant ‘its eventually going to happen’.
I simply said that if it was imminent then he (the subject of the hearing) should have immediately had the inhabitants evacuated. This was 4 years after he authored his opinion so obviously the judge sided with us on what imminent actually means.

 

The rumors of his imminent demise will eventually be correct. Fidel was on my watch list for 20 years.
