Correct. The arrangement is solely to show national unity. The message is clear at many levels. The fallout is for later.

What are Iran, Syria, Russia, and China saying publicly?

The barbarity of what Hamas has done demands a response. There is absolutely nothing that justifies beheading babies.

Hamas seems somewhat between a terrorist group and a traditional government since they are a political entity? I thought I read that Gazans were being advised to get out? Where can they go? Very young population, dense population and high birth rates. 50% unemployment and dirty water? Something will have to give.

If Iran is the primary source of power behind Hamas, what then? What does the U.S. do if anything? Even if Israel dismantles Hamas by going door to door, what’s to prevent Hamas from undergoing a name change and new leadership if we don’t deal with Iran?

I don’t have any answers. Just sadness.

So gullible. This guy just spent the last few months trying to eliminate their courts' and congress' ability to prosecute him for his past crimes. He's shown a history of wanting to move towards autocracy.

The world ain't all sunshine and roses.

good to have you post again. I posted exact words as most compelling evidence is that if you are Hamas and don’t do exactly what you are told to do you are executed. Period. There is 0.00% chance they pulled this off and didn’t have complete Iranian authority. 4 drunk militants lobbing molotovs over the wire. Sure. But not this. Again the best analogy is a vicious mafia. And Iran is the don. Nothing happens of any magnitude in Gaza and specifically Hamas without Iran. Yes that’s simplistic but used for the understanding of how Iran would be involved it’s helpful. .

Not this time, though. He may have wanted to, but he didn’t. Again, I’m sorry. I know you have this iron-clad narrative, but Netanyahu did not play along. What a jerk! You’re just going to have to roll with it and wait until the war is over to resume the satanification.

Weird, Israel is accused of these things, yet 21% of their nation's population is Arabic, and nearly 18% is Muslim. People quoting that the Israeli population is 9.6M, but nearly 2 million of those are Arabic almost as many Muslim. What I do not understand is, do those number include the Palestinians in Gaza? I was under the impression that Palestinians were not Israeli citizens?

The numbers do not include the Palestinians in Gaza as well as those living in the West Bank.

Yep, "something big" is maybe too vague to really pinpoint an all out invasion. But something should have tipped the Israelis off about this attack, after all this was no small undertaking and someone should have had some advanced knowledge of the nature of what was to come... a ball-park idea...

IMO, if this is true, I think Hamas had outside help. Like state level help. Israeli cyber ops is top notch. You don't have that great of an offensive capability without having defensive capabilities. Those systems were without out a doubt hardened and monitored, with redundancy and fault tolerance built in.

If all these systems were compromised, this would surpass Stuxnet. I'm super interested in this.

Yeah I’m curious to get the full scoop on this too. Seems like this would be beyond even Iran’s capabilities. If that’s how it went down.

Sorry if these are dumb questions. What about Golan Heights? I know where it is relative to Syria but not sure how it fits into everything. Is what I am reading that they are not Palestinians? Is that relevant?

There are not a lot of people there. The value of that terrain is that it’s good, defensible ground between Israel and Syria. Syria could probably have the Heights back (demilitarized), similar to the Sinai, if they were willing to officially recognize and make peace with Israel. Syria has not been so willing, and now it has bigger problems.

I think he was referring to the unity government as a means of Bibi to achieve autocracy.

i don't think he will be referring to Bibi as an autocrat after this war.
