Using the term "civics" in support of theological indoctrination is a real oxymoron. Teaching civics as described in the linked article is mutually exclusive with teaching the subject the way it should be taught specifically teaching about American government as embodied in the Constitution and especially the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights

The Republicans have not proven to be the better alternative to the Democrats no matter how much complaining that they do on Fox news.

I say abolish the Party system, have term limits thus ending the career politician, etc.

Every politician should be an independent that would truly represent their constituents and not the powerful, rich who are just the minority.
