    Absurd

Most logical fans would have said 3-2 at this point.

most predicted 2-3 more wins after KY.

if you are looking for me to doom and gloom, the upcoming games, forget it I’m here to enjoy not to be a dark cloud

It’s easy to get banned from Reddit boards. The mods there own the boards, so if you say do thing they don’t like, you’re gone.

Not that it’s ever happened to me.

Building a $100 Million football program is almost impossible to explain.

Grades are a part of that.

    Conduct

    Injured

-how many on the team have been in trouble like prior teams. That’s a huge turnaround with dozens of staffers we never hear about

New building with healthier food- Imagine 300 meals a day.

    NIL stewardship

    2 signing days

Napier has to address that. Muschamp didn’t. Sharkboy didnt

All of that and we haven’t discussed 1 day of practice

We'll be better than Vandy, but we may not sell out the entire university to football like some are definitely going to do. You remind me of my cousins (LSU fans) who already want to fire Kelly. I mentioned that would cost $100M, and their answer? "Yep, but it's worth it!"

Seriously, is that even sustainable? NFL teams have more fiscal sense. This is what you would have UF become? And if they don't, it's because they're "chicken"? Or not willing to work hard enough?

It really comes down to two kinds of people and who will win out. Those like me who see it as College Football and guys like you who want Football College. We'll see, but if Napier doesn't work out, don't expect us to go throw $100M at the next hottest name and then just rinse/repeat (to the tune of tens of millions) if it doesn't work out in 2 years.

The university can barely keep the doors open. And you're completely right -- if they thought they could get Urban Meyer for $100M, they'd pitchfork until it happened.

Agree completely. Napier wasn’t left with great rosters like Hall and Zook left Spurrier and Meyer. That talent level enabled them to hit the ground running. Hall and Zook left talented young rosters full of great players ready to win.

Mullen had a coaching staff that partied harder than the fans on their last bowl trip. Think on that one. Coach Napier isn’t perfect. He will get this done.

And please don’t expect Lagway to come in and light the world on fire immediately. He will be great but he will have some bumps early on. Let him learn and grow.

But they are negotiating with State Fair to royalties from frozen corn dog sales. That could bump up revenue quite a bit.

    Will building a program work?

If the answer to that question is no, then why are we here, posting on this board?

That’s like asking, are any of us ever going to die?

If you are simply talking building a successful program talent-wise, I would say it's a mix of recruiting and portal.

But IMO, it also involves building a culture and it seems to be working. We had no off season issues and no first game suspensions. Getting kids who are good citizens is super important; kids we can be proud of when they are wearing the orange and blue. I often wonder if the staff doesn't pass on some high level recruits and may have been ok with some transfers because of this.

I believe we are on the right track.

The thing that has concerned me from the start with CBN is that
    1. his almost steadfast reliance and commitment to the process over scheme could be the very thing that makes it where his dream is never realized.
    2. The bully ball style has never worked at UF, less high school talent plays that way so you’re narrowing your scope of potential talent and what your team has the ability to do. Have you ever felt less confident going up against teams that can sling it? Project 2/3 years out, let’s say we have a ton of talent but still are slow, plodding, methodical, no tempo … don’t you still feel that way?
I see FSU and Norvell used a ton as an example of an admin being patient… but Norvell was an offensive dude who wanted to score 40 points not win 24-17. Look at his Memphis teams/ they were built on tempo. That’s a bad comp to what we have with Billy. Almost every team winning has - a good OC, wants to sling it around a bit, has balance and plays with tempo and we don’t have that. The only exception would be Georgia and that is the model for just out-talenting everyone but I don’t see Florida spending the money or lowering the academic standards to do that.
