I understand. I come here with links, history, and proof backing up my opinion. And instead of intelligent conversation and rebuttal, I'm met with nothing but stupid gifs.
That grifter was 100% wrong in the covid threads yet wouldn't admit it. Too funny seeing him trying to convince everyone to just let everyone in LOL. Sure, what could go wrong...
You get gifs, and not even good gifs because you are obstinacy and predictability at its finest. You’ve made up your mind and I’m not in a race to do a link search to play that game. I prefer posters who can share info with an openness to another perspective. That ain’t you….esp on the border issue.
I've made up my mind because all the evidence is behind my opinion. If you could convince me otherwise, I'd consider changing my mind. So please, tell me why spending billions on a wall, and spending billions deporting migrants that would end up tearing families apart while causing a significant drop in GDP and spike in inflation due to labor shortages is a just action. Or, is all you got on your side stupid gifs and 6th grade name-callers?
Convincing you specifically that we need a wall would be no different than trying to convince a Jew to become a hamas. No thanks. We’ll just have to disagree. Side note…why do gifs make you so angry?
Gifs don't make me angry. They make me happy. Tells me I've won the argument because stupid gifs add zero value to a conversation. And yes, I've won this argument. Let's recap: Wall: A total boondoggle costing billions that won't stop or slow anyone down. Historically, physical barriers don't work alone. They only work as well as those patrolling them. And unless we commit to more billions to have people along the border, or billions to have tech along the border, the wall itself accomplishes nothing. Current immigration laws: Woefully inadequate to deal with our current immigration labor needs. Nothing new. Since the Bracero Program ended in 1963, a million undocumented immigrants became citizens in 1986, with a million more eligible but didn't participate. Since then, our undocumented immigrant labor force has grown to be around 8 million at current. Enforcing current immigration laws: Would cost billions to deport the immigrants, all while causing massive labor shortages that would result in a significant loss in GDP and inflation that comes along with labor shortages. Would also split families apart. Still waiting on why enforcing these laws are justified? I won't be holding my breath, nor will I be posting a gif of someone holding his. Economic argument against undocumented immigration: If you use faulty sources like FAIR that don't use best practices, or don't add in immigrant contributions, then you can manipulate the data to make it look like undocumented immigration costs us. But use best practices, and for every $1 spent on undocumented immigrants, we take in $1.21. We could make that even better by legalizing the undocumented workers and charging them a guest worker fee. Oh, and the aforementioned inflation? 2014 estimated that without immigrants, milk would be $7/gallon. Today, that would be closer to $8.50. Why would I voluntarily choose to enforce laws that would cost my family and our collective wallet a significant amount of money? Again, justify it. My argument is racist: Epic fail. Won't rehash this BS. Did I miss anything? If you have a good argument why destroying several local economies, splitting up families, and causing a spike in inflation is a good thing, I'm all ears. If not, the laws are unjustified, and should not be followed until they are changed to allow the supply of immigrant labor to legally meet demand.
First things first. You started off with a whiff. Gifs do add value; they make me laugh. Next, you are in favor of wide open border. Wow. The rest of your post I’m not even touching. It shows how out of touch you are in reality. It’s just too much. Good for you I’m glad you have something to be passionate about.
They make you laugh, but offer nothing of value to the conversation. Neither does this post. I don't favor wide open borders. But since you can't actually argue against my logic, you resort to gifs that make you laugh, claims that are wrong, and an admission you actually don't read what I write. Again, thanks for confirming my arguments are strong and I'm winning. Appreciate it.
They're rife with logical fallacies as responses. That's how they answer simple questions.... deny.. discredit... deflect and project. And... strawman, just to confuse the issue even further.
I try not to make a habit of arguing with the wind or people who might be crazy. You keep talking about gifs and I haven’t offered you any in some time. You’re frustrated that I’m not biting the bait. Notice you’re not attracting any takers. We’ve all noticed the same thing about you. You would rather have our citizens murdered, raped and placed at risk so you can have your open border for the illegals. So sad.
as an investment and for security. Speculation on the billions. No family needs to be torn apart; that would be a choice. Costs can be offset by asset forfeiture. Everyone has 60-90 days to leave voluntarily. If you stay you get booted, banned and forfeit your property. Problem solved. Once again speculation. And if happens, so what…it would be temporary. I’m guessing you not only have been vaccinated once but probably four or five times, as well as boosters. Chances are the first time you got vaccinated you got a little sick. Did that stop you from getting vaccinated? No. Same theory applies to taking action to protect the sovereignty of our nation. Is it possible there could be some short term economic consequences, sure, but it’s worth it. You don’t offer a solution, you offer a surrender. This is the United States of America. We don’t surrender.
the chance of you winning any argument on this forum is significantly less than my decision to stop posting memes….
This is totally laughable. But I decided to try your game. Remember, there are millions of citizen kids with at least one undocumented parent. You can maybe legally boot the parent, but not the kids. So either you force the family apart, or forcibly make an entire family, including citizens leave. Want to talk racist? Reminds me of this: Not speculation based on what actually happened when three states, Alabama, Arizona, and Georgia all tried something similar. The results were a significant loss of GDP. Please tell me why if we took this same pathway nationally, we'd have significantly different results? And please tell me where we'd find 8 million people to replace the current undocumented people in our workforce? Wouldn't come from our citizenship. Current unemployment rate is 3.8%. Please, again, explain why we must endure this massive pain in GDP and huge spike in inflation when there are other alternatives? Like, I don't know, follow the bipartisan Gang of 8 plan! It's not worth it. If someone could magically get vaccinated from a disease with zero side effects and have the same protections, who would sign up for the vaccine with side effects? Only idiots or masochists who enjoy the pain. I'm neither. Bullshit. Again, millions came over legally during the Bracero Program. Millions more granted amnesty in 1986, and millions more have come over since. Have we surrendered yet? And why not? I offer the solution two bipartisan Senate committees came up with back in 2007 and 2013. Did they desire or offer surrender too? Or, did they have knowledge, wisdom, and research that after much discussion, both sets of committees realized the best solution to the problem was an expanded guest worker program?
Dude the world is completely changed since the old days. Let it go. We cannot afford to let anyone who wants to show up at the border come in! STOP IT. Also…fences do work.
I can’t even read your post. You over memed. At this point you are engaged in mental masterbation and I think it best you are left alone for a while. Be careful, you could go blind smacking the keyboard too much.
