Wonder how this will play out

Among the proposed changes from the notes ESPN obtained:

    • Proactively assist in the development/creation of NIL activity.
    • Provide services such as tax preparation and contract review.
    • Provide access to equipment (such as cameras, podcast studios, etc.) for NIL activity.
    • Communicate with school sponsors about NIL opportunities for their athletes, “including securing specific opportunities.”

They must have gotten taken through Alabama’s NIL process, now they will be ahead of the class and do no wrong.

Lol... one more step to ruin college football under the guise of helping the players... blah, blah, blah.

Their goal is to make them state employees and to force them to unionize... then the rest of the crap that goes with that goal is just inevitable.

They are doing it to exercise more control and standardize the process. Now they can punish the school much easier if collectives cheat, and the shady deals become less likely.

That's one more thing... but it may or may not be the worst of it.

Might as well just rename it at the same time, PFP deal. "Pay for play" don't know what they’re waiting for now

It's a response to the current class action lawsuit that if won would basically strip the NCAA and allow schools to provide direct payments.
NIL lawsuit against NCAA, conferences granted class-action status

Does someone really think schools are not involved now?

Not bad for a freshman in college. The kid has a nicer house than most adults with a full time job.

May as well at this point. What are they worried about? There's no integrity left to preserve.

I'm just waiting for the first program to tap into the Saudi Wealth fund.

Integrity is only involved if everything is above board. The pretending we’ve been doing for decades, is what’s total BS.
