Without "organized religion" we don't have the values of Western society. Many Atheists are not attuned to this reality, but many of their own values are in fact derived from organized religion, they just have the convenience of picking and choosing which they subscribe to. And the more we distance ourselves from organized religion and towards secular relativism, the more the West decays.

I’m an atheist. in my exhaustive objective analysis my values are way better than most who loudly announce their Christianity the same as most who don’t and maybe not as good as about 1-2% of Christians. I don’t consider my embrace of avarice wrath, periodic fortification and occasional drug use as a slight on my values.

It's a political reality and unlike another poster I'm not suggesting that Netanyahu intentionally ignored intelligence. The reality is that in a time of a crisis there is a tendency to rally around the nation's leader. Prior to the 9-11 terrorist attack on the WTC President George W. Bush's approval rating was under water, five days later it had risen to around 85% and what happened in Israel has been far worse.
