I don’t see where he says they did. Speaking for self, I don’t believe Iran was able to convert that tribute into military hardware over the past three weeks. I do believe — and there should be no more illusions about what Iran is, no matter what one’s domestic politics are — that money will be used, directly or indirectly, in future nefarious ways just like what we have seen unfold over the weekend. If you argue otherwise, then you are either lying to me or to yourself. What’s done is done, but only a damn fool would do it again.

 

How do you move an ordinance around?

 

Ordinance - as in military hardware. Perhaps I used the wrong term.

 

Do you even know why that 6B was in South Korean banks in the first place? It’s money owed for oil that the South Koreans purchased. Do you know how they could purchase that oil even though there were international sanctions against purchasing oil from Iran?

They were given an exemption from the Trump administration, which they then rescinded and we pressured SK to hold that money.

 

They didn't need that 6B for this attack, but it is a bit naive to think they won't use it for similar purposes in the future. They are a state sponsor of terror, it's what they do.

They don’t have the money. It’s in Doha. I’m pretty sure that Qatar doesn’t want pulled into this mess. They just want to make money.

I believe that part of the agreement with Qatar is that they can’t release money without our permission.

I'll also add the day after Iran received this stack of cash (in the form of a line of credit from the Bank of Qatar), they kicked out every single UN inspector who guarded against their production of nuclear weapons-grade material.

 

Qatar is the bank for all operational terrorist groups.
